Waterjacked! is a roguelike where you are a gunslinging succulent chosen to save your people, and probably die trying. Wield the advanced armament known as GRID and blast your way to the Robot HQ, where The Prophet resides. Your journey is not just a test of strength, however. You'll need to collect an assortment of Modules, Augments, and Herbals and learn how to utilize them in clever and creative ways. It is up to you, and only you, until you die and it’s up to someone else, to defeat the robots and take back the future of The Valley!

An advanced and powerful weapon forged from the blood, sweat, and spikes of those who came before you. The GRID is the culmination of the cactus folk’s research into magitek and reverse engineering of scrapped robots. A fully modular weapon system, the real power of the GRID comes from Modules and Augments designed to work with it. Guide projectiles through the GRID to interact with Modules that empower them in unique ways. How would you wield the GRID?

The GRID is a weapon with great potential only truly utilized through the strategic deployment of modules. Each module fits into a specific style, with different types of abilities that emphasize different styles of play. Want to focus on taking down your foes with constant application of damage-over-time effects? Then the industrial Modules with their corrosive powers are the style for you! That’s only one of your potential options though. Throughout your runs, check out the Fabricator's Shop and trade in robot scrap for some new toys.

Augments are special items obtained during your runs that provide a wide range of abilities or powers. The buffs can be run-changing, but be aware that many Augments come with downsides. There’s always a price to pay for power, after all. Siblings to the Augments are the Herbals, boosting consumables that last for only a single Scenario. It’s always wise to buy a few if you can spare the scrap.

No one in the Valley knows where they came from. No one knows why they harvest all the water they find. What you do know is that unless you fight back, your people won't be the only ones who are doomed. Each mechanical foe demonstrates a specific challenge, but the real threat is when they appear in numbers. Prioritizing your targets is a must. Approach each scenario with caution and strategy, or else you may become a distant memory.
