“Our vision for vrOS is to enable creators, social VR players and power users alike to have a native, high-performance VR overlay system that deeply integrates with their OS of choice, whether that be Windows 11, macOS or Linux.

While we solve many issues faced by dedicated social VR players, it's still too early to say "done" — so by opening up and building our community from here we hope for everyone's honest feedback.”

“As the state of social VR and vrOS continually evolves, we expect to make fast-paced updates and changes that will influence how players want to use our software. So expect frequent updates.

We'll be in this state for roughly six to seven months.”

“vrOS is a bit of a portmanteau—but an acronym. While it does stand for Overlay System, our vision is that it can - and will - enhance the operation of all aspects of your VR experience.

The full version will support all new VR hardware and SteamOS and partially support macOS.

Neurotech such as EEG input and eyetracking UI navigation are also features that we are currently working on and plan to ship in during Early Access and in the full version.

We have full OpenVR support now and full support for OpenXR is in the works.

We plan to support every major streaming platform through our core content creation tool system.

Finally, there's a Rust SDK that we plan to make public some time during Early Access so anyone can build their own vrOS native applications.”

“Our core product and overlay application framework is now complete, but we still have features being added and/or enhanced on a weekly basis:

Window capture and display capture is fully supported in VR. We also have several OpenVR-native overlays so users can interact directly with their host operating system and can quickly ship new ones with our custom-built overlay app framework.

We currently support every major VR headset, with custom keybinds for each.”

Er prisen på softwaren anderledes under og efter tidlig adgang?

“This is our final price. Additional vrOS micro-services may be released as paid DLCs in the future, but we have no plan to change the price when it leaves early access.”

“Our lead developer does frequent livestreams with vrOS in use as her main set of content creation tooling.

That same community is the reason we decided to make this into a public release. We'll do our best to listen to all comments on the Steam forum and anywhere else we happen to find players using our system.”

Our AI DLC allows players to choose between "free" local models or cloud compute.

It offers coding support for our system-wide Lua interface as well as Speech and Language interpretation services.
