What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We've decided to launch in Early Access because this is our first game and we're learning as we go! We're as indie as it gets, so we know we'll make some mistakes along the way. Early Access is our way of ensuring the game runs smoothly before we call it a complete experience. Besides, there's a limit to how many times we can ask our friends to be beta testers!

So our goal here is simple: fix any serious bugs the game might have and add more variety to the procedural trail your sheepdog has to follow. Any player feedback will definitely help us determine what we should add next. So we're hoping some of you will find your way to this page and help us give No Sheep Left Behind a final polish before release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We don't anticipate a very long Early Access period - roughly 6 to 8 months. The plan is to launch the full version when it feels just right, after we've had a chance to (hopefully!) hear from some of you and ensure the core experience is polished. We're committed to avoiding "feature creep" or getting lost in unnecessary mechanics, as we just want to deliver a simple yet fun game as soon as possible.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I guess it depends on what people think of the game, but our plan so far is to add a few more maps and a wider variety of hazards to keep your sheepdog busy! Obviously, we also want to ensure the game runs smoothly and is as bug-free as possible. But right now, we're just thrilled if it runs without crashing!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We've got this game running on our machines and most of our friends' setups with no issues – there's just one rogue PC we're still wrestling with. We don't think there are any game-crashing bugs, but hey, that's why we're in Early Access! The game's core experience should be solid.

As shown in the gameplay footage, the procedural trail for your sheepdog to follow is currently composed of 9 different maps and four hazards that can kill or scatter your flock: wolf dens, archer towers, farmhouses, and any waterbody. We plan to add more variety to these as we go.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the game will be available at a 20% discount (whenever possible) during Early Access. Once the game officially launches out of Early Access, it will be sold at its full price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“This project started as a hobby among friends, and setting up this Steam page still feels a bit surreal. The thought of having a community involved? That would be awesome! While we're still figuring out the best way to do it, you can be sure we'll be closely monitoring player reviews and all community activity on the Steam page, taking your feedback to heart.

We're also exploring setting up a dedicated subreddit or Discord server to have more direct conversations. We'll keep everyone posted on any channels we create, as your input will be invaluable in shaping No Sheep Left Behind!”

About This Game

In No Sheep Left Behind, you guide a sheepdog through a procedurally generated trail, trying to collect and protect every sheep you find. With many threats along the way, what starts as a chill task can quickly become a desperate race for survival. Even veteran players will find it a challenge to last more than a few minutes without losing a single sheep.

As your flock gets bigger, it becomes harder to protect. These sheep are completely helpless and face dangers at every turn. They can be eaten by wolves, shot at by archers, scared away by angry farmers, drowned, or simply get lost. Your brave sheepdog is their only hope. Be careful, though—don't push the sheepdog too hard, or he may get tired and temporarily refuse your commands.

Fortunately, you can try as many times as you like, learning from your mistakes with each run. Since the path is procedurally generated, every playthrough offers a different and unpredictable journey. So just chill, enjoy the ride, and remember: No Sheep Left Behind.
