A Fantasy Adventure

At the edge of a kingdom guided by magic and ruled by technology lies a crystal holding immense power. Coming into this world as a vat-grown supersoldier, you know nothing except that you have been told that this crystal is dangerous and must be destroyed. Thus you embark on your adventure to save the kingdom.

Overview

Tsujigiri is a 2D Roguelike Platformer, inspired by titles like Spelunky, Super Smash Brothers, and Hollow Knight. Adventure through procedurally-generated levels to progress, and fight enemies and collect loot as you go. Every encounter you win makes you stronger, and exploration is rewarded with money and items. Fight bosses throughout the levels that test your mettle. All graphics are pixel art and originally made.

Engaging Combat

The combat system is simple to pick up, yet as you become more experienced it has much to master. There is a lot of combat in this game, and it is the main aspect of your character that you upgrade. Based on the direction you hold and whether you are grounded or airborne, you can perform different attacks. You start each run with simple attacks, but you can perform more complex actions as you upgrade your moveset.

Two Movesets

Switch between body form and ball form anytime, each with a unique moveset. Overcome challenges by using the tools of each based on the situation. The body form is easier to control and equipped with a sword for combat for reach and crowd control, while the ball form is more agile and can body bash in combat for mobility and single-target damage.

Choices Matter

With many upgrades you can choose from and no way to get them all, as well as multiple endings, every decision you make in a run will have permanent consequences. Think carefully and strategize your choices, and play the game the way you want to play it, whether that be speedrunning through each stage or taking your time to collect loot and level up.

There is violence from the combat in the game, which involves cutting and beating enemies, which eventually kills them. There is also some swearing from dialogue with NPCs.
