About This Demo

Colossal Citadels is a hardcore strategy roguelike, where you expand your settlement into an uncharted continent in The Infinite Ocean.

Every worker is a link in a huge chain of survival, each one capable of becoming a hero and changing your whole empire.

Take turns, expanding into the lands no one has ever seen before. Find a balance between exploring new resource types (from rare minerals to dragons themselves) and maximizing the outcome of your economy and politics.

NOTE: this is an early demo version that is not feature-complete. It has a limited amount of content, and you can only play the first 40 turns. Full game features procedural worlds and multiplayer!

Every Sword Has Its Legend

As every artifact is unique, so are your creatures. Each one progresses individually with its own stats, skills, and stories. You may boost their growth in a certain direction, but they will fight and level by themselves. Anyone can become a hero: even simple farmers, lumbers, and blacksmiths gradually master their arts, produce great masterpieces, and give you economic advantages.

Everything is a Resource

Grow your network of settlements, incorporating new resource types into multi-stage production chains and combining them into something even more powerful. Your every choice will shape your faction's strengths and appearances. You should know your enemy to invent the best strategy.

Tactical Auto-Battles

Town-building and tactical battles happen in the same overworld, and you have a limited number of actions per turn. Super-simple interface with a lot of internal automation minimizes micromanagement.

Dive into strategic depth in tactical turn-based combat with conditional and timed abilities. Control dozens of fighters of different classes as easily as lone heroes; analyze and predict your odds in deterministic auto-battles that seamlessly run on the same world map where you build towns.

4X Meets Roguelite

Your empire will fall as they always do. But you will be able to start over and apply what you just learned. However, each time you will explore a completely different world with unique procedurally generated landscapes, civilizations, and natural resources. You will have to experiment and adjust your strategy to reach the main objective (or one of the many secret ones).

Multiplayer with simultaneous turns

You can team up with your friends in main roguelike game mode, or skirmish with them in a competitive game mode. Turns are simultaneous, cancellable, and don't depend on player reaction speed: carefully plan your actions using built-in prediction mechanisms.

Construct citadels, raise economies, nurture heroes!
