Story Introduction

In the third year of the Chongzhen era (1630), the order of the Ming Empire had already collapsed. Famine, war, and banditry relentlessly ravaged this land.

In an utopian "Baichu County", a murder shocks the town — a local tyrant, "Baye", is found dead in his mansion. The investigative bureau immediately dispatches detective — Yue Wuxi and Feng Shengjue to investigate.

What appears to be a simple vendetta unravels a mystery from thirteen years ago, which deeply tied to Yue's own sect.

Entangled in fifty years of love, hatred and vengeance, they must choose between justice in the name of "chivalry" or the shadowy path of deception.

And... who is the hidden hand of the conspiracy?

The fourth-generation leader of the Xuanyuan Sect. After his master's death, he felt lost about the sect's future and join the investigative bureau as a detective.
