Immortality is for sale, but you are dying. A cyberpunk-dystopian action RPG about taking your soul back.

Aethercore is a third-person Action RPG set in a cyberpunk-dystopian world where immortality is for sale. Slash, dodge, parry, and use spells as you fight robotic enemies, mercenary ninjas, and undead creatures. Explore a sprawling city, take down an evil corporation, and retrieve your stolen soul.

Real-Time Action Combat

Aggression and strategy are key to winning fights. Slash to fuel your Aethermagic, then unleash it to exploit enemy weaknesses. Parry, dodge, or jump over attacks from cunning enemies and tough bosses.

Build your Playstyle

Customize your build and equip up to four Aethermagic spells and one Sword Art. Play aggressive with offensive magic, control the fight with support spells, or summon minions to fight alongside you.

Explore an Interconnected City

Travel through the forgotten underground labyrinths and push through corporate territory. Uncover the city's secrets and hidden treasures.

Side Quests and Bounties

The city is full of people who need your help. Take their odd jobs, complete bounties, and earn credits to spend on upgrades.

Premise

Aether Corp (AECO) rose to power through monetizing immortality by transferring human souls and binding them to robotic machines. High-end models are sold to elites. Everyone else gets the basic models, often becoming trapped in debt, doing the company's bidding.

To enforce their rule, AECO's executives employ ninjas to silence dissent and eliminate threats. Meanwhile, the corporation's science division conducts horrific experiments in secret.

You wake up with a fragmented memory in an underground facility. AECO has stolen your soul and now you are dying. You need to take it back.

Development

Aethercore is a solo-developed game. Features such as PS5 controller support, achievements, and cloud saves may be added as development continues. Minimum specs are also subject to change. Steam Deck support is planned.
