About This Game

TAU-09-XT4 is your next destination, a recent discovered stellar body floating through the galaxy. This hell hole of radiation might be full of rare minerals but to know that first it needs proper prospecting.

Try to complete your 10 day rotation without getting stranded on the planet.

  • READ THE MANUAL - Learn to program robots to explore remote sectors on the surface.

  • STUDY ORBITAL SCANS - Inspect orbital scans of your assigned sectors and create a strategy to explore them.

  • DEPLOY ROBOTS - Test your code on planets sectors and see if you can complete the missions objectives.

  • UPGRADE YOUR MACHINES - Save up credits and use them to upgrade your robots, add radiation shields and memory slots.

GAMEPLAY

Each in-game day you will be assigned three different sectors with three deployments to each one. Each sector is a mini programing puzzle you have to solve. To solve them you have a code editor and a platform to test your code in a simulation, be careful simulations aren't perfect, unknown data in sector scans is treated as common tiles in the simulation.

With each completed day you will receive credits based on how well you performed. You can use the credits to upgrade the robots capabilities (last longer under radiation and process longer codes). A condition for game over is running out of credits so be careful.

To win the game you have to survive ten days (or finish exploring thirty sectors).

 INTERFACE

The game is set around an alternative 80s and build around a "retro-futuristic" interface, which is your work terminal. It is a keyboard driven interface and mouse interactivity is limited in favor of immersion.
