What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re launching into Early Access because this is, quite literally, our team’s first game.

While we’ve worked hard to build something we’re proud of, we also know there will be bugs, balance issues, and unexpected problems that we simply haven’t encountered yet. Some of those may be small, while others could require larger changes as development continues.

For us, Early Access is about building the game alongside our community. We want player feedback to help shape the direction of the game, highlight areas we can improve, and make sure we’re focusing our efforts on the things that matter most to the people actually playing it.

This project has been an adventure from the beginning, and we want to do it the right way: openly, honestly, and with the community involved throughout the process.

The best place for players to engage with developers via Discord.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Midnight Launch to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 months to 1 year.

Our development roadmap is already well underway, with only a handful of later-game features and systems still planned for implementation.

The exact duration of Early Access may change depending on the pace of development and the feedback we receive from the community.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full 1.0 release of Midnight Launch is planned to expand beyond the core gameplay loop with additional activities, systems, and areas to explore.

Some planned additions include features such as shipping products directly to customers and a console repair station, giving players more ways to grow and manage their store outside of the main day-to-day gameplay loop.

We also plan to expand the game with additional collectible trophies, wearable cosmetics, and new shops and locations to enter and explore.

These features are part of our current roadmap, though specific plans may evolve throughout Early Access based on development needs and community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Midnight Launch is currently fully playable and already represents the core vision we set out to create.

Players can progress through and expand their store, hire employees, unlock more than 50 unique products to stock and sell, and customize both the interior and exterior of their shop. Players can also purchase used products directly from customers, test consoles, send items out for repair, and take part in the various systems that make up the day-to-day operation of their game store.

The core gameplay loop is in place and solid, but we expect the game to continue evolving throughout Early Access as we expand existing systems, add new content, fix issues, and incorporate feedback from the community.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. Midnight Launch is priced lower during Early Access.

As we continue adding new content, expanding existing systems, and work toward the full 1.0 release, we may increase the price to reflect the game’s additional content and development.

Players who support Midnight Launch during Early Access will keep the game permanently and benefit from purchasing it at its Early Access price while also helping us shape its development through feedback.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is essential to how Midnight Launch will continue to evolve throughout Early Access.

We actively gather feedback through our Discord, social media, and directly from players to better understand how our systems are being used, where players are running into friction, and what they would like to see improved or expanded.

That feedback helps us identify pain points, prioritize fixes and quality-of-life improvements, and better understand what features or content the community would like to see next.

Our goal is to keep development open and collaborative, using player feedback to help shape Midnight Launch as we work toward the full 1.0 release.”
