Tankenstein is a 3rd person ARPG where the player controls a dishevelled tank in a post apocalyptic wasteland looking for new parts to survive and upgrade itself. All of the other tanks in the scrapyard have the same goal, which makes them hostile in this survival of the fittest arena.

Varför Early Access?

“As a team of 2 developers, the support and feedback of the early access community will be invaluable in making Tankenstein the best game it can be. The game is already fun and playable thanks to the feedback from playtesters, at this point we want to open the game up to a wider group of players so that we can continue that process of rapid improvement.
”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We plan to have the early access run for a tight 6 months, with a significant update roughly once a month.
”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Our plan for the full version of the game is to be feature and art complete. We intend to expand upon the foundation that Early Access provides by including additional biomes, tanks, points of interest and bosses. Additionally our goal is for the final game to include an expanded version of the meta progression with objectives to complete and an end game to test player builds.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The early parts of the game are available, with 4 biomes to explore and 1 boss to defeat. The game is playable but unbalanced as we go through many waves of balance changes, a lot of which will rely on community feedback.
”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“No, we will be using the early access to improve, tweak and finish the game, but the gameplay should be roughly the same, only better. By buying the early access version you will be supporting the developers to help release the best product we can make.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We already have a discord server set up where you can reach the developers directly to have a conversation, discussion or throw any ideas around that you might have. Not everything will make it into the game on release, as we have a tight schedule to ensure the game comes out, but feedback is extremely important to us. We also have a channel for bugs where you can comment or vote on what you believe should be top priority to be fixed.”

Fight through a wasteland filled with rogue AI tanks that seek your destruction. Use clever strategies to destroy them before they destroy you, then lay claim to their parts to build the ultimate vehicle of destruction.

Featuring an in depth damage and projectile system, you will be rewarded for precise shooting and learning your opponents weak spots.

Loot!

Trawl the wasteland for the scrap of the old world, and fight through hazardous environments to find the tools you need to survive and give yourself an edge in every battle.

Mix and match increasingly powerful gear scavenged from the wasteland to build a Franken-tank of looted parts. Separately upgrade your CPU by cannibalising the mind of your opponents to gain the ultimate edge in the final survival of the fittest.

The wasteland is a procedurally generated world of devastated environments. Each new biome provides a unique challenge for your vehicle. Master each to maintain the strategic advantage at all times.

Fight difficult bosses that challenge your build and tactics to become the dominant AI in the wasteland.
