Miksi Early Access?

Early Access is a great opportunity for The Odyssey of Commander Cookie to grow and evolve with the support of the gaming community. It allows me to gather feedback and insights directly from the players, helping to refine and expand the gameplay.

While it's difficult to estimate, I am considering a timeframe of approximately 12 months after the initial Early Access release.

It will include two exciting new gameplay modes, expanding the variety and challenge of the game. Additionally, the full version will introduce new abilities, as well as enhancements to gameplay mechanics, balancing, and user experience, ensuring a deeper and more elevated adventure.

The Odyssey of Commander Cookie unfolds across three unlockable chapters, each with its own distinct gameplay mode. Complete one, and you'll unlock the next, building toward a full-scale cat fight on the mice empire.

🐭 Guardian Killer

Face relentless waves of increasingly powerful mice ships as you battle your way toward one of the three Planetary Guardians. Create unique builds using a variety of ships, weapons, cat pilots, and special ability cards. Survive long enough, and you'll earn the chance to challenge one of the guardians.

💣 Payload

Escort the P.U.R.R. (Payload: Universal Rat Remover) through the fortified districts of the city of Verminax. Fend off escalating waves of resistance as you push the weapon to the very heart of the mouse technocracy.
One way in. No way back!

🚀 Extraction

With the P.U.R.R. deployed, it's a race against time to navigate your ship through the chaos of the planetary annihilation and fuel the extraction beacon for one final escape from this rat infested planet.
Survival isn't guaranteed, just highly recommended.

Gameplay:

Choose your loadout from a roster of unlockable cats, ships, and weapons. Mix and match to suit your playstyle.

During each run, collect resources by defeating enemies and destroying the environment. Once enough resources have been gathered, the mothership will reward you with upgrade beacons. Activating them, lets you choose from three upgrade paths: Armory, Defense, or Tech. These upgrades function like ability cards, with dozens of unique effects from status boosts to powerful new abilities, letting you craft a one-of-a-kind build every time you play.

As difficulty ramps up, optional mini-challenges appear. Complete them to earn ship modules, powerful active perks that trigger once you hit a certain kill multiplier.

Craft the perfect build, adapt on the fly, and survive the escalating onslaught in classic roguelite fashion, feline style.

Some of the game’s 2D artwork was created by feeding my original 3D models and hand drawn sketches to a generative model. I further edited and refined the output using digital painting to match the game’s style and maintain a cohesive visual identity.
