Varför Early Access?

“We are releasing FreedomBot as early access to build the game alongside our community from the ground up.

We value deep and complex systems in the games we play and we believe that receiving early feedback and iterating on gameplay elements is the best way to build such systems that can resonate with players.

Player feedback will directly shape our development priorities and general direction of the game, but without compromising our vision.”

“We can make no promises on that, especially as the scope of the game is quite substantial.

But we believe that in about two years we are going to have a game comparable to most full releases.”

“The plan is to massively expand the scope of the game.

We aim to expand the world of the game, for example with multiple cities, intercity and international travel.

We also aim to add to the amount of activities and systems the player can interact with, we aspire to build a political system governing robot rights and to include political parties, elections, political violence, and potentially civil wars.

Additionally we want to implement a large amount of player advancement and customization, both in terms of gearing and player modifications.

Finally we are considering some base management. Base upgrades, furnishing, crafting stations, etc.

The overall vision of the game is to build a live dynamic world composed of multiple layers of interleaved and interacting systems for the player to survive in, inhabit, and eventually influence. ”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“The game is very early in development. It is little more than a proof of concept for basic systems at this time.

At this time we have:

- A basic implementation of our combat system, featuring a small assortment of firearms and a damage system based on projectile energy and target anatomy.

- Simple procedural level generation.

- A bare bones survival system.

- A minimal skill system for basic skill checks.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes, the plan is to offer the game at a reduced price during early access gradually increasing the price as the game increases in scope.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We are planning to implement feedback mechanisms straight into the game with the aim of gauging interest on gameplay elements, and receive direct feedback on game balance and the overall player experience.

We will be including a in-game interface where the players will be able to send us direct feedback along with screenshots and their save files. The aim of this tool will be to assist in debugging and provide a clear channel for feedback for the players.

We will be providing the community with a clear view of what's ahead through blogs and public roadmaps.”

Combat utilizes a detailed anatomical damage system where individual body parts can be targeted and damaged independently, affecting your capabilities as injuries accumulate from operational to destroyed states.
