About This Demo

What can you find in the DEMO of The Shame of a Daydreamer?

  • 1 of 7 days

  • the beginning of an intricate story that will have many different possible paths and endings

  • a first meeting with some of the complex characters with filthy secrets and unbearable shame

  • complicated families with dramatic pasts, debatable moral and questionable love for their children/parents

  • many choices with many consequences - not close to as much as the full game, but still some!

  • 2 playable characters → 2 very different experiences with different content

  • a colorful (but not cozy) hand drawn world that’s more odd than it might seem at first glance - it takes place in Sweden and has many things to explore and discover

  • a great amount of good writing - so be prepared to read!

  • dialogue and choice heavy gameplay

  • a game mechanic where shame and mind affects the gameplay

  • repression, perversion and so much shame

  • 2 different endings depending on which character you choose

  • a soft start to a hard game (not combat wise, but as in choices = consequences, sometimes cruel)

The demo takes place during 1 of the 7 days + a kind of epilogue to the first day (or a prologue to the second day).  So - you start the game on Monday, and I encourage you to explore the city and discover what the world and their characters have to show you (and hide from you).

Learn about the effects of shame and mind and try different choices, and don’t be afraid to fail - some mistakes can lead to new knowledge after all :))

When you feel done with the day you go to sleep and after that you experience a scene (very different depending on which character you play as) and then the demo ends - where in the full game Tuesday would start. So make sure you explore everything you want to explore before going to sleep - because after bedtime, things will be different!

Choose your vessel of shame!

Elliott, tell me about your son.

Elliott: "Hmm ... Elias ... Well ... He's ... a psychopathic pervert and aggressive animal who began life by murdering his own mother. Don't play as him. Who knows what he's capable of ..."

Okay ...

Levi, should I play as your son, Felix, (or as you call him, Cain)?

Levi: "Ha! Sure, if you want to play as a pathetic coward and special snowflake with strong school shooter vibes that will probably end up becoming an incel ..."

Do you trust the words of the parents..? What kind of people are these boys,  actually......?

How long is the demo?

One playthrough, one character ≈ 1 hour of gameplay - it depends on some of the choices you make and the consequences you can end up with and how much you explore etc.
