TOHOTOPIA is a lightweight 4X war strategy simulation game based on the world of Touhou Project.
In this grand clash of fantasy and history, the girls from Gensokyo take on the roles of legendary rulers and generals from across human civilization. Lead unique empires inspired by real-world history across a vast tile-based map—explore unknown lands, develop cities, expand territory, and conquer your rivals to achieve ultimate victory.

Gameplay Overview

• Choose Your Civilization:
  Select one of four initial Gensokyo factions (Palace of the Earth Spirits, Scarlet Devil Mansion, Eientei, Moriya Shrine), each representing a historical empire.
  Every civilization has a distinct visual style and theme.
  Each one is led by five unique “Great Person” units—King, Queen, Rook, Knight, and Minister—represented by iconic Gensokyo girls.

• Strategic Actions:
  View the world from a top-down perspective. Explore fog-of-war tiles, build cities, manage resources, raise armies, and engage in strategic combat.

• Victory & Defeat:
  Eliminate all opponents or have the highest score when the game ends to win.
  Lose your last city, and it's game over.

• Session Duration:
  Each game lasts around 20–30 minutes, perfect for casual play and replayability.

Game Modes

• Story Mode:
  Complete specific objectives to win each round. Enjoy unique gameplay challenges paired with engaging short stories.

• Free Mode:
  Customize map size, terrain types, and number of enemies to create your own ideal battlefield.

Achievements & Challenge

The game features a rich and expansive achievement system, encouraging long-term exploration and replay.
Achievements are packed with Touhou trivia and fun facts from various real-world civilizations—deepening both the strategic depth and the creative historical twist of the experience.
