Steel yourself for a slow burn pseudo-historical puzzle-adventure that'll take you back, down, and more than a little out there. 

As the new Spook on HMS Solbrand you set out in a small marine research vessel in search of sunken spoils and glimmering truths. Your predecessor? Gone. Missing? Cap is tight-lipped and says not to worry, but when the tether snaps and leaves you trapped on the ocean floor you struggle to abide. Money's scarce and spare parts expensive, so if you want up you'll need something to put on the scales. Something heavy.

Fret not! This is Ullarakir after all, a region steeped in legend! Scientific breakthroughs and mad eccentrics, restless sea monsters and evil doctors, mythical poetry and long-forgotten gods. A veritable smörgåsbord of historical bonbons!

Cap puts a quick stop to starry-eyed musings: you're here on commission, remember? The Skandic bike race with roots in this region is coming up on its 500th consecutive instance, and influential offshoots of the first champion need you to get to the bottom of an uncomfortable rumor that threatens their standing.

Ain't the stuff of legend, Cap says, but those slick fit pockets run surprisingly deep. If you get them the answers they want, we'll get you out the soup. Quick and easy job, nothing crazy.

SURVEY SUNKEN RUINS

Explore a detailed map of sunken Ullarakir, a reimagined version of Uppsala, Sweden; steeped in grand norse myth and quiet local legend, and churned through the blender of sci-fi cosmic horror. The Wingnut asylum, the Botanical Gardens, Imperfektum, the Blackened Cathedral, and the Old Observatory are just some of the places yearning to be explored.

PROBE THE DEPTHS

Use your Visir to probe and investigate ruins buried deep in the seafloor sediment. Studying the environment from different perspectives is crucial to piece together a full picture of events; top-down when you want the lay of the land, first-person when you need to get in real close.

UNCOVER PUZZLING FRAGMENTS

Discover and collect intriguing historical fragments, and study them in exquisite detail within your vessel's archive. Test your wits against their secrets to learn more about the past, strengthening your signal and revealing new areas to explore.

CONFER WITH THE LIVING, COMMUNE WITH THE DEAD

The crew aboard the Solbrand support you from the surface; the Captain, Tinker, Worder and Shimmer all have unique insights, personalities and perspectives to explore.

But as a Spook you are able to make other connections too; the dead speak as you tune your tech to their remains. Get to know their fates, make bonds, quibble about metre, catch them in lies, and tease out forgotten truths.
