Miksi Early Access?

Sparrow Country is still in its early stages of development and is beginning to take shape. We're a small team, and we’d love to continue working on this project. With community support, we believe we can build upon the current foundation and deliver something truly exceptional.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

The game is planned to be in Early Access for about 12 months, concluding around the end of 2026.

We plan to enhance and enrich existing content.

For example, we’ll improve the story, including the animation of existing cutscenes and increasing the total cinematic cutscene time to about 30 minutes. We’ll also enhance challenges and quest offerings from some characters, improve track layouts by reducing checkpoint repetition and improving scenery, landscapes, and world interaction. Additionally, we’ll refine gameplay mechanics and balancing, such as how the “Agility” skill affects ground or air friction and add new checkpoints while tweaking existing ones.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The game’s primary storyline is complete, with ten chapters available and an ending. Players can continue exploring and replaying quests even after the game is finished. There are about ten minutes of cinematic cutscenes. Some tracks are more established, while others are repetitive or shorter than desired.

Yes, we plan to gradually raise the price as we release new versions that improve stability and add new content and features.

Experience the life of a mystical Sparrow, embarking on adventures across diverse lands. Discover new sights and characters along the way.

Story

Sparrow Country offers a casual, short story with light RPG-style mechanics. Explore new areas, meet intriguing characters, and complete races and challenges presented by story figures. In Story Freeform mode, wander around and interact with story characters to maintain the primary storyline. Level up your character to grow larger and stronger. Collect stars and earn experience to advance the primary story.

Other birds and characters in the world interact with you in various ways, offering quests to you, or by being obstacles that slow you down. Story characters engage in light conversations, some requiring reading to progress.

Master the art of flight by unlocking attributes and abilities through a skill tree, including core, ground, and air skills.

Explore the world and engage in various activities to enhance your Sparrow’s abilities.

Gameplay Focus

From a broader perspective, Sparrow Country focuses on time trials and racing. Players do not have ‘lives’ and there is no concept of death. However players may be reset or teleported with naming that reflects the action that displaced them, and in some cases players may have a limited number of resets to complete a challenge successfully.

Energy & Stamina

Sparrows have limited bursts of energy and require constant monitoring of their stamina to maintain consistent movement. Players must slow down their sparrows to conserve energy. The world provides various ways to replenish stamina, and players can reset their character to a safe location if they get stuck or need to regain their footing. The game always offers numerous utilities to keep the player informed and instruments to help them navigate. Players should never be lost in Sparrow Country.

Stars & Experience

Collecting stars increases experience, and players can spend them to boost their energy and enter a star burst. This burst lasts until either all stars are depleted or the player chooses to end it to retain their remaining stars. Stars are also used in certain interactions with other characters, such as fast travel in Story Freeform mode.

Content Offering

Sparrow Country currently offers:

The first level and some smaller supporting levels
Several established story chapters with about only 10 minutes total of cutscenes
Build up to 10 character skill levels to complete the primary story, and continue exploring and replaying quests up to higher levels
