This is a derivative work of the 1990s anime game [Serial Experiments Lain]. It was created using RPG Maker MZ and based on the official guidelines "Lain Time to Live".The game is about exploring dungeons and reading the scenario. I think you can play through the entire content in about 2-3 hours.

«In order to deliver the game more quickly to those who are looking forward to it, and to make it available for free right away to those who want to play it.
By letting people enjoy the game, even if just a little, I hope to help revitalize the Lain community.
I also want to contribute to the Lain fandom by fostering a culture where we, as a community, work together to create better derivative games based on Lain.

Since this is a personal project, I believe it’s essential to listen to feedback from others in order to make it better.
I aim to create a more polished final product by taking the voices of the community into account.

«Although incomplete, the game is playable through to the ending. There are four different endings.
The characters that appear are Arisu, Misato, Chisa, Tōko, and Lain.
Aside from the bonus scenario after the endings, the main scenario is fully implemented.
Also, by talking to the turtle, random events may occur.

As noted in the section about differences from the full version, certain presentation elements—such as still images, enemy graphics, and BGM—are not yet complete.
Furthermore, due to the incomplete translation work, the English version has not been released.»

Introduction

This work is a derivative work game of [serial experiments lain].

It was created and released based on the official guidelines "Lain Time to Live" (hereinafter referred to as TTL).

All guidelines for this game also comply with TTL and are applied from the time the game is started.

A READ ME file with the TTL URL is included with the game.

Please view the READ ME file from your local folder and check the TTL before playing the game.

It is still in production, but since it is playable until the ending, it has been released as an early access version.
