About This Demo

"Dicey Heroes" is a roguelike that fuses Monopoly-style board play with deck-building. It’s easy to pick up for casual fun.

Defeat the enemy in the center of the board

The main goal is to defeat the enemy positioned at the center of the board.

Reduce the enemy’s vitality (❤) to 0 to take it down. When one enemy falls, another appears. Clearing a world means defeating every enemy that shows up.

Roll the dice to move your Hero

The basic action in “Dicey Heroes” is simply rolling the dice—easy, right? Your Hero advances a number of Squares equal to the roll. The Hero is the character that represents you.

The Hero’s power is in the numbers

See the number floating above the Hero, next to 🗡️ and ❤?

That single number is the Hero’s only parameter.

It is the Hero’s vitality—drop it to 0 and the Hero dies.

At the same time, it’s also the Hero’s attack power.

One of your aims is to grow this number (🗡️❤). Even if it falls from damage, you can raise it again with certain Squares—so don’t worry! 👍️

Increase the number by stopping on an Addition Square

When the Hero lands on an Addition Square, the amount written on that Square is added to the Hero’s number (🗡️❤).

Stop on an Attack Square to damage the enemy

Landing on an Attack Square lets the Hero strike the enemy for damage equal to the number above the Hero’s head (🗡️❤).

Enemies drop money when damaged. Use this money to construct or upgrade Squares.

Squares with a variety of effects

Beyond Addition Squares and Attack Squares, many other kinds of Squares exist.

Squares are built by using items.

Pay money to upgrade Squares

You can spend money to upgrade Squares.

Hire Allies

You’re not alone. Land on an Ally Square to recruit helpers.

Allies can use only basic Squares like Addition Squares and Attack Squares, but they still provide huge support.

When the enemy attacks

Enemies are bound by chains, but each time you roll the dice one chain drops. The 🔒️ number shows how many chains remain.

When every chain breaks, the enemy attacks. Squares inside its range are marked with ☠. The enemy’s attack power is shown by the 🗡️ number; any ally whose own number (🗡️❤) is lower will die. If the Hero dies, it’s game over.

Dice Buttons that let you choose any face

Luck isn’t everything. If you own a Dice Button, you can pick any number you like for the roll.

There are Dice Buttons for faces 1 through 6. Collect a balanced set, or focus on stacking a single number—it’s your strategy.

Equipment items

Defeating enemies can reward you with equipment items.

Equipment items grant a wide range of effects.

A diverse cast of Heroes

Your playable Heroes aren’t limited to one.

Each excels in its own specialty. Heroes possess a “Hero Skill” that can be unleashed once its gauge is filled.

Many worlds await you

You’ll battle in more than one world.

Countless worlds bring new enemies and Squares—enjoy the adventure!
