About This Game

KanjiFlash: Master Japanese Kana and Kanji

KanjiFlash is a 3 layer flash card tool designed to systematically teach you the foundation of Japanese literacy (Kyōiku kanji). By completing this training you will have learned the most essential kanji; in addition, you will have a solid foundation to start Japanese-Language Proficiency tests. You will be able to do basic reading, navigate signs, menus, simple forms, and begin to spot differences in subtitles/text in order to learn naturally going forward. 

Images are added to the kanji flash cards to assist you in learning. They are mainly from the Meiji period and curated to help you learn the kanji with their title and imagery. Take a journey through the POV of Japanese artists while you learn! 

Each card combines a character, its readings, and an example word which uses previous grades kanji in order to help you solidify your lessons. Hiragana and katakana decks are structured to introduce you to kana variations systematically, including dakuten (゛) and handakuten (゜) forms.
