The Rift Machine places you in control of an experimental system built to harness the power of anomalies. It is an experimental game that combines modular construction, strategic automation with a distinct visual style to create a unique experience.

Anomalies and Modules

Start small by manually spawning Anomalies into your world. Anomalies come from different dimensions and they can be destroyed to gain valuable loot. You can buy various kinds of modules such as guns, lasers and generators with these resources. The modules can be strategically placed for maximum damage and optimal collection of resources.

Technology

As the anomalies become stronger, you must also invest resources into research and technology. Progress through the tech-tree to unlock new types of weapons and effects, improve resource generation and automate key systems. You can explore different branches, or focus heavily into a specific type of technology.

Progression

Destroying enough anomalies will lead to events where a major anomaly can appear. Defeating them yields unique cores which are rare item that offer massive bonuses. Choose which cores to activate based on your needs and play style.

Strategy and Customization

Experiment and build your setups from a variety of modular systems.  The way you combine modules and upgrades can lead to dramatically different outcomes.
