Beat Up My Dreams is a Top Down Beat Em Up focused on the player growth physically and psychologically. The main character, Rio Angelo, is a bum by society standards. He has let himself go and isolated himself from friends and family. 

Having gone to a deep sleep through heavy drinking, he finds himself in a surreal dream fighting off personifications of his inner distractions (inner demons). In the dream, Rio will learn about himself further and realize his innermost potential. 

Two Sides Of The Same Coin (Transform)

Starting off, you'll play Rio using his stocky, slower form in combat. As you combo, dodge and perform finishers, burn calories to transform into your athletic prime. This is a visual and mental transformation for the player

Engaging Enemies
Fight against the personifications of the player's distractions which include alcohol and technology and figure out the best approaches in defeating these enemies

Mental Health and Clarity
Through Rio's struggles, one can see how much of a mental disarray he is in - his room cluttered up with broken alcohol bottles, clothes, trash etc. We also see the impact of accountability taking fold in his life as he realizes his self-growth
