About This Game

Ancient magic. Futuristic tech. A synthetic weapon caught in between.

Dual Shadows is a combat-focused action game set in Pulsanh, a neon-drenched city powered by the imprisoned energy of two divine beings: the Phoenix and the Dragon. You play as Linh, a synthetic lifeform forged by the tech conglomerate Harmoni —spliced from fragments of the beasts she’s sent to destroy.

DUAL COMBAT SYSTEM

Swap freely between: Melee Form

  • aggressive, close-range combat

Ranged Form

  • precision-based spellcasting

Each form builds energy to use Linh’s abilities, rewarding fluid switching and adaptive play. How you engage with each enemy is up to you!

YOU DECIDE

Absorb or Release: After defeating a boss, make a critical choice:

Absorb: Take enemy spirit for yourself and unlock order-aligned abilities.

Release: Free enemy spirit and unlock chaos-aligned abilities.

Each choice alters dialogue, unlocks new abilities, and reshapes your story.

MULTI-PHASE BOSS ENCOUNTERS

Each borough culminates in a unique boss battle:

The Phoenix wields embers, fire fields, and a resurrection mechanic.

The Dragon strikes with torrents of water, closes distance with sudden dashes, and conjures towering hands of crashing waves.

Bosses evolve mid-fight with layered mechanics that test your mastery of both forms. Fail to react in time, and you’ll meet your end.

STRATEGIC BUILDCRAFTING

Choose from four core abilities that shape your combat style.

Each core modifies how your Q and E abilities behave—creating synergy between your chosen form and your Order/Chaos alignment.

Alt – A fixed mobility skill for repositioning and evasion.

Q / E – Offensive and utility abilities unlocked through narrative progression and Absorb/Release choices.

Your build evolves as you progress—encouraging experimentation, alignment mastery, and flexible playstyles.

A DENSE, CHOICE DRIVEN WORLD

Two boroughs: Phoenix District and Dragon District, each with unique terrain, hazards, and enemy types

Replayable encounters with branching outcomes based on Absorb/Release ratios and borough order

Flat, linear level design focused on forward momentum and environmental storytelling

Dual Shadows blends a gritty cyberpunk setting with mythic undertones drawn from Southeast Asian legend. From barricaded streets and brutalist towers to flickering signage and sacred arenas, the city of Pulsanh reflects a world where divine power has been caged, commodified—and now confronts what it helped create.
