What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Emotional Combat is still in active development. Each emotion in the game requires its own unique shape, color, sound, and visual effects to authentically capture what that feeling represents — and that takes time to do well. Early Access allows us to build and refine each emotion carefully while sharing our progress with players along the way.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate roughly 12–18 months in Early Access, though this may vary depending on the scope of emotions and content we add based on community feedback. We want to make sure the game feels complete before a full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to work toward an enhanced UI, improved graphics, better balancing, and bug fixes leading up to full release. We also hope to expand the game with additional content. That said, our roadmap may evolve over time based on development progress and player feedback, so we'll communicate any changes as they happen.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is stable and has a solid foundation in place for future expansion. The core mechanics are functional and playable. For a full breakdown of what's currently in the game, please refer to the About This Game section on our store page.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is central to how we develop Emotional Combat. Since the game is built around emotions — what players feel, see, and hear — your feedback directly shapes how each emotion is represented. We encourage players to report bugs, suggest fixes, and share their experiences. We'll be monitoring community discussions closely and plan to use that input to guide the game's direction throughout Early Access”

About This Game

Overview: Ratio V Motus. Latin for Reason V Emotion. Logic is the strongest weapon against emotion and thus, your logic must survive combating the mind of emotions. Mimicking the emotional development through ones life, the balance between Reason and Emotional must be kept in order to mature. Mature to victory

Design: A third person combat action and adventure

How to play:

4 Regions are accessible by the Logic Region. This is your place of refuge but once you enter the emotional region, the only exit is your entrance. As for now, the bridge between regions is the emotional orb. Each Primary emotion has an orb with a logic orb being the bridge between emotional regions and to the logic region

Continue through each region taking out each of the bosses. Defeating the bosses right now doesn't do anything but that feature will be added soon.

The weapons you do have to help you fight is you melee (left click and right click) plus 4 abilities which are

Rationalize: Convert Resistance to health and spawn turret which inflicts damage on emotions but uses 1 mana

Harvest: Convert Resistance to Mana without loss except makes you more exposed to emotions

Deductive Logic: Concentrated ranged weapon with the cost of a decent amount of mana

Inductive Logic: 360 attack with the cost of significant amounts of mana

Anger Region:

  • Chasing of Hate: Large in quantity but fragile anger

  • Sprouts of Rage: Tall sprouts manifesting anger into damaging rage.

  • Fixed Resentment: Fixed in place and directed to what they resent damaging from afar

  • Pure Vengeance Boss: Pure manifested anger. Damaging in all ways

Happiness region:

  • Leading Optimism: Faster and taller directing forward

  • Sweet Relief: Small and but releasing the damaging pressure

  • Piercing Gratitude: Fixed forwards what is appreciated, resistant to damage

  • Joy Together Boss: Happiness in its fixated form. Most damaging to Logic.

Sadness region:

  • Disappointed Spirit: Plain and simple not meeting expectations

  • Shattered Alone: Shattered pieces floating alone

  • Unplaced guilt: Such in quantity, its unclear what is guilty

  • Utter Despair Boss: Made of the tears of sadness

Sadness region:

  • Tough Love: Love so strong, its resistant to cuts

  • Seeds of Affection: Constant non stop affection

  • Full Devotion: Devoted to showering you with Love and Affection

Do you have what it takes to fight your emotions?
