The Story

The Legend of Abdal is all about making the correct decisions to ascend within the social fabric of Pakistani society. It is an alternate history text-based RPG where you play as Abdal, a humble Pakistani man living in the Mughal Empire in the year 1817.

You will face many obstacles across your journey to ascension. Will you be the one to overcome fate and defy the odds? Otherwise, you will be faced with the phrase "PEASANTS CAN'T WIN" once more, a stark reminder of the difficulty faced, even to this day, by Pakistanis in overcoming classism. However, if you shall rise to the occasion, your new fate shall find you well.

The Gameplay

The gameplay of The Legend of Abdal involves choosing between 2 options at each level of the game, of which there are 6! In order to choose your course of actions, simply enter "1" or "2" to make your choice, and only then will your fate be sealed. There are 64 endings to achieve depending on how you go about experiencing Abdal's legacy in Pakistan. Make the choices that lead you to greatness!

• This game includes classical text-based RPG gameplay, utilizing a decision tree system to decide what happens after each choice, allowing for lots of replay-ability.
