What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game thrives on creativity and experimentation, so we want the community to directly influence the content we add next — new biomes, items, NPCs, or unexpected twists!
We're also building a game that aims to bring together experienced deckbuilder players and those who simply enjoy a relaxed hike in the mountains. Early Access gives us the opportunity to balance both sides and ensure that each run feels rewarding no matter your playstyle.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to remain in Early Access for 8 to 12 months.
The timeline may shift depending on feedback and the scope of improvements requested.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our current roadmap includes new biomes, additional enemy types, more items and new bags, and new NPCs that enrich both the adventure and the village experience.
We also aim to refine the narrative layer, and add QoL improvements that make each run smoother and more satisfying.
As the community shares ideas and feedback, we expect to integrate a variety of player-inspired content as well, whether that means fresh items, new challenges, or entirely new regions to explore.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build contains the complete core gameplay loop:
exploration, backpack management, challenges, lots of items, and village interactions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to offer the Early Access version at a lower price to thank early supporters. The price will increase as new content and systems are added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is essential to shaping Barda. We’ll gather input through:
- Discussions and suggestions on the Steam forums and Discord
- Regular devlogs outlining current work and upcoming updates
- Surveys to help prioritize balancing and content additions

Players who join Early Access help steer the direction of the game, and many decisions will be directly influenced by community input.”

About This Game

Every run in BARDA is a fight against chaos. Loot pours in, monsters close in, and the only thing standing between you and disaster… is how you pack your bag.

Endless maps, shifting dangers, no two journeys the same.

Each run forces impossible choices: do you carry one huge sword… or three lifesaving potions?

One wrong placement, and it’s game over.

A cozy village awaits when you return alive.

Meet quirky villagers, repair your gear, cook, and prepare for the next adventure.

Warmth and danger, hand in hand.

Tactical backpack puzzles meet roguelike thrill.

Loot with rarity, surprises, and synergies.

Designed for short, addictive sessions… the “just one more run” kind.
