Picture this: it's 1933 in the dystopian, dieselpunk city of Deeprun. The city is populated by bugs. Not regular bugs, but robot bugs. Robot bugs that need fuel for their engines to run.

In this fossile-fuel-dependent society, a group of researchers have developed a new technology, which would allow bugs to run on cleaner energy sources. The project was progressing smoothly, until the lead scientist was mysteriously murdered during their showcase.

Follow the story of Detective Dominic "Dec" Decker, hired by a collegue of the victim, as he navigates this complex case. Discover who was behind this assassination, what motive brought them to such an act?

Explore the fight for a cleaner future in this Detective Game-meets-Third Person Shooter. Will you choose to become more and more powerful, reaching your goal at any cost, or wil you join the cause led by the reasearch team and transition to cleaner energy?

SOLVE THE CASE

Use your skills as a detective to examine different crime scenes, find clues, and put them together to open up new leads for the investigation.

Find Clues: Explore various locations and collect interesting pieces of evidence. Each clue collected unveils a part of the mystery.

Interrogate: Taling to witnesses is a crucial step towards solving a case. Some bugs might know more than initially led on, so you might need to push them to talk.

Put It All Together: Use the clues you've gathered from the crime scene and the witnesses to make sense of what happened in each location.

FIGHT AGAINST OPPRESSION

Sometimes you poke holes where you shouldn't have. You might anger the wrong type of people, so they will try to silence you. As a veteran of the war, Detective Dec is capable of handling firearms to defend himself from aggressors.

Experiment with Various Weapons: Dec brough some weapons back from the war. Despite this, growing your arsenal will be crucial to fight back against your enemies.

Fight Different Bugs: Every spiecies of bug has different strengths and weaknesses to be aware of. Each one fights in a different way, too!

Use Special Abilities: Fighting isn't all about guns. Detective Dec has a few tricks op his sleeves to take the upper hand.

MODIFY YOUR BODY

As a robot, it's quite easy to substitute some old parts with brand new ones, and they might also help with your task. You have a choice to make: continue with your ol' reliable fossile fuel components, or try out the experimental cleaner options?

Customize Your Dec: Choose which upgrades to use based on your personal style. All-out attacks and combat prowess, or a smarter, more calculated approach?

Abilities to Fight and Investigate: Your upgrades can aid you in all aspects of the case. Some will help with finding clues, while others will make dealing with threats easier. Use what you find most necessary.

Moral Dilemma: Upgrades based on polluting fossile fuels have been around for a long time and have been perfected to enhance their effects, but also have disatrous consequences for the climate. On the other hand, parts based on the new, cleaner technology are still a prototype, but will make the world a much better place.
