A place where warmth is but a memory. The night echoes with strange sounds, and uncanny neighbors stir a lingering unease, all steeped in a stale, suffocating air. Yet one question remains—where does this chilling cold truly come from?

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Not all content has been implemented yet, but it remains planned for the future. After receiving feedback from the audience, we will understand which mechanics in the game should be improved and how to develop the project further. We will actively monitor reviews and discussions in the community.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“If we make sure that the game no longer requires significant improvements, early access will end in 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We would like to make the game more comfortable to play: fix possible bugs, improve optimization, and add more animations. We also want to add cut content and continue the story to the planned ending if we see audience feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently includes several mini-games and two story Acts. Players can interact with objects and characters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price during Early Access will remain unchanged. We are considering a price increase only after adding new content and removing Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be happy to receive feedback from the audience. This will help us better understand their expectations regarding desired features and content. It will also help us understand in which direction to develop the game's plot, so we actively monitor reviews.”

About This Game

Cure for Death is a short visual novel that blends 2D and 3D elements. It marks the first chapter of a chilling story set amidst mysterious events in an old mansion. You’ll encounter its peculiar residents — and you won’t just talk to them, you’ll have to live with them.

Why is it so cold in here?!

The story follows a young man who leaves his hometown to chase his dream job at a prestigious publishing house. Low on funds, he moves into a suspiciously affordable house — and quickly finds out the real reason behind the bargain price.

This game features a beautifully flickering candle. Our entire budget was three cans of beer: two were spent on animating the flame, and the last one went to the person who composed the music.

In this game, you’ll find:
– picturesque backgrounds (drawn completely voluntarily, we swear),
– a cat — because what kind of game doesn’t have a cat?
– a few mini-games to keep you entertained (and to prove we did something),
– immersive, surround sound that gently hugs your ears.

Some content has been tucked away for better times — when we have free hands, more time, and maybe a couple more cans of beer.
