Miksi Early Access?

POGS is under active development and plans to include many new features however the core mechanics of the game including turn based battles, inventory systems and usable items are already in place. Early Access builds allow for vital feedback from something with larger scope than a demo.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

POGS is on track to release a full version early spring 2026.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

POGS currently plans to debut more friendly characters with accompanying quests to complete and gadgets and wearable items to unlock as well as more opponents and pogs to collect across many stages (playable areas or sandboxes). Features planned could allow players to create custom player characters and even create their own items (like pogs and slammers).

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

POGS is currently in Alpha which includes skateboarding, mini quests to complete and unlockable items, missions to earn money, ways to spend money at the video store and a number of systems that will carry gameplay through future areas.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Yes. Early Access at release will be made available at a lower price than the full version at release. As the full version nears release Early Access players will already be able to play the majority of content which will be available in the full version.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

POGS plans to use built in bug reporting to allow players to voluntarily report bugs but will also benefit greatly from the community discussions on STEAM. Feedback on gameplay and features planned for and implemented in POGS will be encouraged.

Power of Golden Slammer is a game about being a kid in the 90s!

Riding your skateboard around different parts of town, battling other kids, mowing lawns to earn money to buy more slammers at the video store and collecting rad items like electronic LCD handheld games, slap bracelets and wearable items which increase your coolness! 

Power of Golden Slammer doesn't just have SLAMMERS it has BLADE, HOLOGRAPHIC and HOLOGRAPHIC BLADE CAPS AND SLAMMERS! 

You may be wondering “How does a battle actually work?” To summarize, the player and the opponent take turns slamming a stack of caps with their slammer and keep whichever caps flip over on their turn.

During battle you have a limited number of turns and can either do a normal slam by using the “SLAM” button as it appears or you can use your one shot SPECIAL SLAM and attempt to use the power of leverage to get a really sweet payout.

Skateboarding in P.O.G.S. is radical! With lightning fast responsive movement and controls that allow you to turn on a dime , skate in third or first person and do impossible tricks. GNARLY!

Being cool is essential to gaining access to different parts of town. Many wearable items directly affect your coolness level allowing you to impress your peers and even adults. WOAH!

These little cardboard circles with pictures on them are expensive! Good thing you're an industrious go getter. If you happen to be low on caps or just want to expand your collection you can do things like mow lawns for money to purchase caps and slammers at the video store. CHA-CHING!

During your idyllic summer vacation as a P.O.G.S. kid you will collect cool wearable items, toys and of course rare caps and slammers. P.O.G.S. already features many items suggested by 90s enthusiasts (check the discussions) and we're only getting started!
