POGS – Power of Golden Slammer is a game about being a kid in the 90s during the pogs craze!

Power of Golden Slammer is about riding your skateboard around different parts of town, winning and losing pogs battling other kids, mowing lawns to earn money to buy more pogs at the video store and collecting rad items like electronic LCD handheld games, slap bracelets and wearable items which increase your coolness! 

Authentic POGS BATTLES

You may be wondering “How does a pogs battle actually work?” To summarize, the player and the opponent take turns slamming a stack of pogs with their slammer and keep whichever pogs flip over on their turn. 

For the player this means either doing a normal slam by using the “SLAM” button as it appears or using your one shot SPECIAL SLAM and attempt to use the power of leverage to get a really sweet payout. This technique was so powerful it was often outlawed! But P.O.G.S. is still the wild west. 

Make no mistake however, using the SPECIAL SLAM properly requires some amount of strategy and skill. The SPECIAL SLAM requires careful timing to drop the GOLDEN SLAMMER at just the right angle. It can also cost you dearly if you are too greedy and attempt to lever too many pogs or can be wasted if you wait to use it when there are only a few pogs remaining. More pogs in the stack beneath your lever pog means more leverage!
