Why Early Access?

“Craterlands is a full playable game with the complete story but we'll be adding a lot more features before it's truly complete. We decided it would be worth releasing into Early Access since there is already a lot of content to enjoy.”

“We are planning Early Access for 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The 1.0 version will contain additional regions, quests, town features and items.”

“The game will be fully playable from beginning to end and thoroughly play tested. Multiplayer will be included as well but may need to be refined once we get a larger player base.”

“Yes, we plan on releasing the Early Access for a cheap price and increasing the cost once the full version is released.”

About This Game

Wake up in the future to a world on the brink of extinction. Discover the source of the calamity and save civilization from a mysterious threat. Mine, build, craft and explore a vast interconnected world!

Explore:

  • Set up a base and explore a vast interconnected world. Regions overlap so you can travel between them with no loading screens required. You can even unlock a rocket to travel to more planets!

  • Dynamic day/night cycle. Different enemies may come out at night and even the seasons change in some regions!

  • RPG Leveling System - Level up as you explore, fight mutants and complete quests. Tailor your build by spending skill points and specialize in melee, ranged, energy or minions.

  • 4 Person Multiplayer - Have your friends join to build, explore and fight a variety of epic bosses.

NPC Classes:

Rescue NPCs and add them to your towns. They do more than just sell you things, they craft items automatically and have a daily schedule. Assign them roles such as Blacksmith, Forester, Scientist and much more! 

Build Complex Electrical Systems:

Wire up lights, machines and other gadgets. Control lighting and electrical signals through network controls.

Automate:

Automate crafting of parts using conveyer belts and tubes to link machines together.
