Backrooms: We Were Not Alone

You are a newly assigned investigator.

The research team sent into the Backrooms before you disappeared without explanation, leaving behind only scattered documents, abandoned work, and fragments of truth hidden throughout the endless maze.

Your objective is simple:

Recover what remains, uncover what happened to the missing team, and find a way out.

But the deeper you go, the more the Backrooms begin to change.

Familiar spaces twist into something unnatural. Layouts lose all meaning, and reality itself slowly collapses into something increasingly dreamlike and surreal. What first seemed like a simple investigation soon becomes a desperate struggle to survive.

You are not alone.

And this place is far from empty.

The former researchers still wander these halls. Exposed to the entities within the Backrooms, they are no longer human. Twisted by contamination, grief, and the rage of being abandoned, they continue to exist in a broken state.

They do not see you as a colleague.

To them, you are only another replacement sent to suffer the same fate.

They are hunting you.

Explore alone, or investigate this strange world together with your friends. Cooperation allows players to search environments more efficiently, find important items and records, solve complex puzzles, and survive situations that would be impossible alone.

But the choice is always yours.

Stay together, or split up and explore different paths. In the end, only one thing matters:

Who makes it out alive.

Progress in Backrooms: We Were Not Alone is driven not by combat, but by investigation and exploration.

Search for documents, audio recordings, experiment logs, and environmental clues left behind by the missing researchers. Every puzzle and every piece of evidence is connected, and the truth is never revealed all at once.
