Miksi Early Access?

Although the app is completely playable, it does not come close to the end vision I have for it. I'm releasing this in its current state because I would like to gather feedback and suggestions from the community I have been a part of for so long now

I would like this to be a comprehensive desktop pet styled application where it has all the features you may want out of this style of product and a casual AI powered agent/assistant. Just to be transparent, some of my future plans for the app are mini games, a system that values time spent on the app, and a redone UI

V-Chatter is an AI-driven desktop pet application where users can upload custom character models (VRM files only currently) and interact with them in various ways. App is in early development and does not come close to the final end product

Current features

Text and voice chat with user customized AI

Importing/replacing character model

Full animation support for non standard vrm models

"Vtuber" mode, which is a compact, resizable display window of the model

Toggle to prevent intercepting inputs when playing games or doing other stuff
Underlying gameplay is from Osu!(lazer). Dean "peppy" Herbert

- Dance and pose selector
- Multi-language support (English, Japanese, Spanish, Simplified/Traditional Chinese, Korean)
- "Mimic" feature where the user can upload audio and select the corresponding sentiment for the character model to say expressively

More about the AI chat feature

Note: there is a full tutorial in the app!

When the user submits a text or voice message, they will get an audio response if enabled. The character model will also pose and have a facial expression that corresponds to the underlying sentiment of the response.

There are two options for the AI feature. You can either use the built-in AI or a fully custom AI server. I created a template for the server that is publicly available to download from the GitHub repo attached to the manual link. I made this server an option for the AI so users can further customize the personality of the AI, extend the AI's functionality and integrate preferred AI technologies.
