Deadrunners is an asymmetric parkour game where modern-day soldiers race through player-made levels in a fantasy setting to escape from an all-powerful archmage.

The mage can fly, activate deadly traps, and attack the soldiers from afar with a range of different spells. The soldiers must use their speed and numbers to reach the end of the level, where they can equip a rocket launcher to defeat the mage.

Deadly Traps

Death houses, flame-throwing forges, enchanted books, and angry sandworms. There are a range of deadly traps planted throughout the level, which the archmage can use to stop the soldiers in their tracks. If they can get the timing right.

Powerful Spells

The mage can also use their spells to directly attack the soldiers, if they're skilled enough to hit them from a distance. A forcefield prevents the mage from getting too close, so you better be good at sniping. Fire spells can deal direct damage, while ice spells slow progress, and wind spells blow soldiers right off the map.

Plucky Soldiers

Despite the raw power of the archmage, the soldiers still have numbers and distance on their side. Up to four soldiers can join a game, and with the ability to respawn a number of times, they can overwhelm the archmage if they're smart. Only one soldier needs to reach the end of the level in order to destroy the mage with the rocket launcher, so work together to get someone through.

Level Editor

Levels are created in-game using the level editor. Place down platforms, paths, houses, and traps to make interesting levels to share with your friends or the world. Tweak any settings of the game, including the number of soldier lives, respawn points, and the distance of the archmage from the main level.
