Mandated Fate is a narrative-driven social thriller where loyalty is survival. You play as a weary inspector, a man out of place in a newly established authoritarian regime.

In 1985, a rising technological empire has seized power, driven by a single ambition: to discover the anti-gravity particle and surpass its global rivals by conquering space. The regime demands absolute unity, framing this race as a matter of national destiny. But one old district continues to resist, no one knows quite how, or why.

Assigned to investigate a strange murder there, you quickly find yourself entangled in a deeper web of political intrigue and ideological tension.

You are tasked with a dangerous investigation where crossing into illegality isn't just easy-it's expected. Your mission? Uphold the law by breaking it. The Empire demands absolute results and absolute loyalty, even when they contradict each other. But don't worry, the Emperor is a generous man; he knows exactly how to reward citizens who... cooperate. Loyal, unaligned, or dissident, your choices will lead you down different paths. Choose your answers carefully, or live with the consequences of your choices.

Interrogate key characters through a rich and complex dialogue system, where storytelling takes center stage. Gather clues from hidden documents, consult them on your computer, and read between the lines. Some secrets are best left undisturbed, especially when the government is involved. Investigate, but know when to stop; the Emperor wants no answers, he wants silence!

You'll make choices you’ll have to live with. If your loyalty fails, you’ll be forced into brutal moral trade-offs. Betray your neighbors, bribe the guards, or sacrifice your allies to buy your way out.
