About This Game

Step into a mystical realm under siege in Root: Echoes of Shadows, a top-down magic shooter that will test your mastery of the arcane. As Arbor, the guardian of the Root Bond, you’ve been warned by Aegis and Amara of an impending assault by Umbra’s shadow army. Prepare your spells and stand ready to defend the Elo from the encroaching darkness.

Shadow Siege

Confront relentless waves of shadowy monstrosities sent by Umbra to shatter the Elo. Wield an arsenal of magical powers, blending strategy and precision to outmaneuver and obliterate your foes. Unravel the sinister forces driving the invasion as you fight to protect the world’s fragile balance.

Magic Harvest

Defeated enemies drop precious magic particles—gather them to fuel your strength. Use these resources wisely to purchase elemental essences, unlocking new and devastating forms of magic. Experiment with combinations to craft the perfect spell loadout for the battles ahead.

Endless Trials

In infinite mode, face an unending onslaught of monsters hellbent on destroying the Elo. Survive as long as you can, racking up points as the difficulty escalates. How long can you hold the line, and who will claim the ultimate high score?
