About This Game

Malhaar is a musical slice-of-life RPG!                                               

You become the inheritor of your grandfather’s house and workshop back in Sindhu. As a young boy, can you carry on your family’s legacy of being musicians and instrument-makers? But, it’s not just about that, is it? Legacies are forged over generations. It’s your job to play Raga Malhaar at the festival this year to invoke rain that even the spirits can feel. Megh, the OG composer, who lives in the Spirit Island, is the only one who can teach you. What took your grandfather a lifetime to master, you have to in just a few months or the spirits disappear forever!

• Put up tiny music shows → Learn sitar (an Indian stringed musical instrument), rent a houseboat and use it as a stage, customize as you please and make it prettier to gather more audience. Have a blast of a show.

• Craft and tune musical instruments → Gather from the Woods or buy from the market, use your grandfather’s workshop to craft and tune various stringed Indian classical instruments, sell them to the local dealer or rent out your own shop at the weekly carnival.

• Serve customers at the Dhaba → Help out at the Dhaba (cafe) by serving the customers to earn money.

• Become part of the community → Befriend locals and the lingering spirits, donate for the yearly festival and to help renovate the old library, help townsfolk with their daily chores, join in for evening gossip over tea, at get-togethers, around bonfire and much more!

• Explore as you go → Discover stories told by various characters, unlock new areas and unravel the mysteries of the musical spirits, explore this vibrant town at your own pace either on foot or on your boat.

• Take care of your health → Eat, drink, pet animals, have a good night’s sleep to better your mood. You need to be in happy mood to go about your day!

• Relax to a calming vibe → Pass time by playing relaxing mini games while lying on a bench, relaxing on your boat, hopping on the carnival rides or just joining in the kids for a local kite flying competition.
