“Deadlock is expected to remain in Early Access for approximately 12–18 months.

Our focus isn’t on hitting a strict deadline, but on delivering the most complete and polished experience possible. The timeline depends heavily on community feedback, development progress, and the scope of new content we build together.

We want to give players the time to shape the world, influence design, and refine mechanics with us. Early Access will continue until Deadlock feels fully realized — and that means we’ll stay in it as long as it takes to get it right.

The night the Deadlock Protocol was triggered, Ravenwood became a cage. Now the small Appalachian town is overrun by horrors born from the Ashen Virus — twisted mutations of the people who once lived here. The city gates are sealed. No one gets in. No one gets out.

You are Jim, an ordinary man trapped in Ravenwood when the outbreak erupts. Armed with whatever you can scavenge, you’ll fight to survive the night — through blood-soaked motels, barricaded churches, abandoned police stations, and the hidden laboratories that birthed the nightmare.

Deadlock is a 2.5D top-down survival horror inspired by the classics but built for a modern audience:

  • Scavenge & Survive – manage scarce ammo, craft makeshift weapons, and decide when to fight or run.

  • Face the Infected – from shambling corpses to grotesque mutations like The Maw and Bone Spear Mutant, every encounter could be your last.

  • Explore Ravenwood – a seamless open-world map filled with motels, churches, police stations, mines, and secret labs. Every location hides supplies… or something far worse.

  • Uncover the Truth – piece together Project Ashen, a conspiracy that turned a town into ground zero.

The gates of Ravenwood are closed. Your only choice is to fight, adapt, and escape — before the city buries its secrets with you.

Deadlock contains graphic violence, gore, partial nudity, and intense horror themes consistent with a survival-horror experience.

Players will encounter hostile creatures and human enemies that may display blood, exposed wounds, dismemberment, and disturbing visual designs. Some enemy designs or environmental elements may include partial nudity presented in a non-sexual context, typical of horror or mutated character designs.

Combat involves the use of firearms and melee weapons. The game also includes dark and unsettling themes, psychological horror elements, and environmental storytelling that may be disturbing to some players.

There is no sexual content and no sexualized violence. Profanity may appear in limited dialogue or environmental text.

Deadlock is intended for a mature audience and may not be suitable for younger players or players sensitive to horror, violence, or graphic imagery.
