Miksi Early Access?

I decided to put Galactic Prospectors into Early Access to give players the opportunity to already play the game in the course of development. This allows me to see what gameplay elements and features could benefit from further development, and what possibly needs to be changed, so that I can adapt development according to community feedback and needs.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

As this is a passion project that I work on in my free time, I would say 2 or 3 years to get it to the full-release state I envision.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

I would like to have Multiplayer, more advanced AI, quests, Steam Workshop to allow for extensive modding, and so many more features in this game once the full-release version rolls out.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current state of the Early Access version is what I would call Pre-Alpha. Current features include the ability to destroy Asteroids, which earn you (the player) money. Destroying enemy AI ships, which earns you Scrap. You can buy ships using Money and Scrap. The enemy AI will target both you, and Asteroids, and will also destroy Asteroids to get to you to try and destroy you. The game is built on it's own game engine (called Vyrex Engine), which has been created from scratch and is constantly expanding with every update. The game also has Steam Leaderboards integrated to allow for some competitiveness from other players in this early state.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

I don't plan to increase the price during Early Access. Once the game rolls out into full-release, the price may increase, but as of right now I don't have any plans to increase the price. By buying this game, you're buying into an evolving project, getting forever free updates for it, and getting me a coffee or something so I can continue working on it until late hours of the night.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

I plan to involve the community in the development process via the website, Discord, and through Steam. I would love to collaborate with and integrate things from the community into the game as well.
