What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Little Farm Island is entering Early Access to involve the community early in the development process. We believe player feedback is crucial to shaping the game and making it the best possible experience. We want to build an active community that helps us refine gameplay, add new features, and expand the game world. Early Access allows us to iterate quickly based on player feedback, ensuring the final game is a truly collaborative and rewarding experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate Little Farm Island will be in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This period may vary depending on community feedback and progress in developing new features and content. Our goal is to launch the 2.0 version when we are confident the game offers a complete and polished experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In Early Access, Little Farm Island offers a solid, playable foundation where players can experience the core mechanics and get a taste of the game’s world. As we move toward the final release, our goal is to significantly expand and polish the game based on community feedback and our evolving vision. Here’s an overview of the planned enhancements:

Enhanced Gameplay Mechanics:
Expanded Farming and Crafting Systems: The final version will introduce advanced farming techniques such as crop specialization, and improved crafting mechanics. Expect more tools, equipment, and options for customization.
Dynamic Environmental Interactions: We plan to add a more immersive weather and seasonal system that not only affects farming but also influences exploration and survival strategies. This will include environmental puzzles and seasonal events.
Refined Survival and Exploration: The final release will offer deeper resource management, additional exploration zones with hidden secrets, and refined systems for health, water, and food management.

Richer Story and World-Building:
Deep Narrative Expansion: The final version is set to include a more complex storyline with branching quests and richer lore. Players can expect character-driven storylines and immersive narrative arcs that add depth to the game’s world.
Enhanced Character Development: More interactive and diverse NPCs will be introduced, allowing for deeper relationship-building, meaningful dialogues, and dynamic questlines that reflect player choices.

Quality of Life and Feature Upgrades:
Continuous Community-Driven Improvements: Regular updates in Early Access are paving the way for a highly polished final version. Enhancements will include UI/UX improvements, performance optimizations, and additional customization options, all based on community input.

Commitment to Community Involvement:
Active Communication Channels: We’ll continue engaging with our community via Steam Forums, Discord, and regular polls to collect feedback and suggestions. This dialogue helps us prioritize and shape future updates.
Transparent Development Roadmap: Our iterative update process will be clearly communicated to the community, ensuring that every update is both a reflection of your feedback and a step toward our ultimate vision. While we cannot guarantee every planned feature, your input will consistently guide our development priorities.

This roadmap illustrates our commitment to evolving Little Farm Island from its Early Access iteration into a complete, polished final product. The focus remains on delivering a richer, more engaging experience, enhanced by your feedback every step of the way.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of Little Farm Island includes:

Farming Mechanics: Planting, harvesting, and crop management.
Open-World Exploration: Exploration of the island and city.
Survival System: Management of resources like water, food, and health.
Inventory management and Customization: Furniture and different character skins.
Drivable Vehicle: Exploring the city with a car.
Initial Quests: Introductory quests to guide the player.

The current version is playable and offers a fun experience, but it is still in development and may contain bugs and incomplete features.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price of the game after the 2.0 version launch. The Early Access price reflects the current state of the game and our appreciation for the support of early players. By purchasing the game in Early Access, players gain access to all future updates and the final version, while also supporting the game's development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are committed to making the development of Little Farm Island a collaborative and transparent process, where the community plays a central role in shaping the game's direction. To achieve this, we plan to:

Direct Communication Channels:
Establish a dedicated Discord server and integrate the YouTube channel so players can share ideas, report issues, and suggest improvements directly. We want to ensure everyone has an open channel to contribute to the game's development.

Feedback Sessions and Testing:
We will organize closed tests for new features and content, allowing the community to actively participate before final implementation. Additionally, we will hold Q&A sessions to understand which changes are most desired and how to prioritize development.

Transparency and Regular Updates:
One objective is to maintain a blog and publish development diaries to update the community on progress, challenges, and plans. YouTube videos will also be posted to share updatess and gather feedback directly from players.

Incorporating Feedback into Decision-Making:
All feedback received will be considered for future updates. The goal is to maintain open communication and adapt the game based on what the community wants, ensuring that improvements reflect player suggestions.

With these methods, we aim not only to create a better game but also to build an engaged community that takes pride in being part of this journey from the early stages to the full release.”

About This Game

Farming, Exploration, Survival, and Memes (Scroll down for more!)

  • Forget those perfect farm games where everything always goes smoothly. Welcome to Little Farm Island, where country life might seem tranquil, but it's always playing tricks on you! Sure, you'll build your dream farm, but you land here like a tourist.

Build Your Farm (And don't expect it to be easy!)

You'll build your farm from scratch, and with some luck, you'll harvest the fruits (and veggies, of course!) of your hard work. If you've got some spare cash, invest in pumpkin seeds. Taking care of them is like having a kid: a kid that gives you pumpkins. But it's worth it, because these beauties will come in handy for filling your belly later. Don't think it's just about planting and waiting; here, you've got to get your hands dirty!

Alcohol: Drink Responsibly (Or the consequences are hilarious!)

Think twice before drowning yourself in wine, beer, or other drinks! Alcohol can turn you into a zombie in record time, leading you to a state of drunkenness that's straight out of a comedy movie. A drunk character means losing control, making blunder after blunder, and being a walking mess around the island until the buzz wears off. The gameplay? Well, let's just say it can become... challenging. And yes, you'll get some good laughs, but at your character's expense.

Watch Out for Road Blunders and Other Accidents

The island roads? Dangerously crazy! Pay close attention to traffic. Getting run over by a car here isn't like in those cartoons where you just bounce back. This has a serious impact on your health and can send you straight to the nearest hospital. Remember, road safety is crucial so you don't end up flat on your back, seeing stars!

The Freedom to Play (Even if that means dumpster diving)

Hunger is a beast and can lead you to desperate measures, like rummaging through trash or eating wild plants. Here, it's the law of the jungle! But a warning: not all plants on the island are your friends. Some are poisonous! So, be careful what you put in your mouth. It's what you do to survive, but with a touch of caution and a good dose of dark humor.

Island Folks with Unique Stories and Vibrant Personalities

Get closer to the island's inhabitants and see what you can dig up. Optional missions might reward you with clothes, food, and some handy items for survival. The choice is yours, and so are the rewards. Here, we interact, and believe me, some of these characters are something else!

Scary Missions and Hidden Secrets: The Story Begins!

The story is hidden in mysterious missions and much more. As you explore, you might stumble upon strange signs that trigger unsettling events. Like a devil suddenly appearing to chase you, only to vanish moments later. These are just glimpses of the deeper mysteries that await those brave enough to seek them out. The island has its own secrets... and ghosts.

Start Your Adventure Today!

Arrive as a tourist and immediately embrace the freedom to forge your own path on the captivating island of Woodisland.

  • Open World Freedom: Explore every corner of a super diverse open world, from cities to wild and peaceful nature. The island is your playground: go wherever you want, whenever you want.

  • Customization and Creativity: Create your unique island life! Choose any skin for your character, design your dream home with custom furniture, and build the farm you've always imagined.

  • Almost Real Brands: You'll see brands that will make you laugh out loud, like laughing at real-life stuff, but all in a fictional way.

  • Survival Challenges: Will you thrive or just survive? Test your skills in managing resources like food, water, and health as you overcome unexpected challenges and the island's natural dangers. No easy ride here!

  • Drivable Vehicle: Explore at your own pace, or hit the gas! Your drivable vehicle allows you to quickly traverse the island and discover even more hidden treasures.

  • Immersive Atmosphere: Lose yourself in the island's tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by calming nature sounds and the simple joys of a unique, mystical world. Your progress is safe!

And, of course, get ready to interact with some silly things the island hides, because life isn't just about work, right? Fun is guaranteed, even if it's just laughing at your own screw-ups!

The game features a save/load system. All your items, money, and character skins are saved and restored when you load your game. (Just a small detail: you'll need to quickly re-equip your skin after loading, as the character defaults to white/genderless with each load.)

As an indie developer from Portugal in Early Access, player feedback is incredibly important to me. Thank you for your support and for helping to shape the future of Little Farm Island!
