Why Early Access?

“VMX is a passion project developed by just two people. As our first release—and with VR bike riding being a relatively novel concept—we’ve chosen an Early Access model to shape the game with community input. We’re committed to maintaining close communication with players, and based on feedback, certain features may evolve over time. As a result, the final version of VMX may differ from its current state, ensuring a more refined and player-driven experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim to advance development as quickly as possible. While we have a rough vision for the full release, the scope may evolve over time. Our current estimate for a complete launch is between one to two years.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our goal is to make VMX a polished, bug-free, and enjoyable experience for everyone. We're committed to expanding customization options, adding modding tools and support, introducing new vehicles, maps, game modes, and more. Over the years, we’ve gathered countless ideas, and the future looks very exciting.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Before releasing the game to the public, we took extra time to ensure that, while content is still limited, the current experience accurately reflects our future vision.
The currently available features are as follows:

• A detailed rideable physics vehicle including a BMX bike, mountain bike, and scooter
  
• VR gesture controls for bike handling as well as tricks.
  
• 5 detailed levels, 3 playable with all vehicles, a workshop for customization, and a tutorial level
  
• Character customization system that let's you change parts of clothing and gear.
  
• Vehicle customization system which allows dynamic painting of bike parts
  
• Anti motion sickness modes
  
• Three game modes:
  
  • “Time attack” style game mode ( Get as many points as possible in the time limit )
    
  • “Simon Says” style game mode( Repeat tricks successfully or you lose letters of BIKE. Last one standing wins )
    
  • Sandbox ( Free ride )
• Multiplayer support (create a session/lobby on a dedicated server, join others and play game modes together )

Though some minor bugs may be present, our focus remains on delivering a solid foundation for what's to come.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As we planning on keep adding content and features throughout the Early Access, the price of the full release will likely increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be launching a Discord server with dedicated sections for feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. Additionally, we plan to actively engage with the community, discussing new features and improvements on a regular basis.”
