“The Hilltop Funeral started as a one-month game jam project and has evolved into something that we are truly excited to share with you! As our passion for the game grows, we want to further refine and develop it while building a community. Your valuable feedback will help us make this game the best it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current goal is to transition to a full release in a year, but the timeline will be influenced by your feedback and suggestions. Along the journey, we wish to bring you and your friends good times filled with joy and laughter :)”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of The Hilltop Funeral is planned to feature more levels, obstacles, powerups, narrative elements, and most importantly, an online co-op mode. Additionally, we plan to ensure full compatibility with Steam Deck. The core gameplay is already in place, and the rest of the development will focus on additional content, small complementary systems, and fine tuning based on feedback from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of The Hilltop Funeral has 5 levels, a single-player mode and a two-player local co-op mode, and full controller support. There are also leaderboards for players to challenge each other for the best completion times in each level.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price slightly when leaving EA to reflect the additional content and improvements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Your feedback is of critical value for us to make the game better! We will be gathering feedback from our Discord server, our social channels, and the Steam forums. We want to make sure the game is both challenging and enjoyable for you, and we look forward to hearing your thoughts along the way!”

On yet another dark and stormy night, you and your friend, a pair of professional pallbearers, are entrusted with the sacred mission of safely delivering a “very important client” to their final destination. Call up that one trustworthy friend of yours, and embark on the most absurd funeral journey ever!
