However, her plans are disrupted when the Inquisition takes notice of her, her coin purse is empty, and the secret of her blood proves to be more dangerous than palace intrigues. The succubus is unable to corrupt Ariette through conventional means, such as sex and seduction. Ariette possesses a hidden power that she herself is unaware of. And so the demon takes a different approach - turning Ariette's pride and thirst for power against her, gradually leading her to become addicted to the forbidden demonic magic.
