About This Content

Hamburg is calling – and The Bus is ready to roll!

With the Hamburg City DLC, you can experience the Hanseatic city from the perspective of a bus driver.

Four varied routes take you through green residential districts, industrial areas, high-rise housing estates, vibrant inner-city locations, and past world-famous landmarks, right into the heart of one of Germany’s most beautiful cities.

Four routes. Four perspectives on Hamburg.

Route 6 connects the green U-Bahn station Borgweg with the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district.

Route 17 starts at Feldstraße underground station, runs through Winterhude, and ends at Barmbek station, partially parallel to Route 6.

Route 7 serves the northern district of Steilshoop, starting from Barmbek station.

Route 277 complements Route 7 as a clockwise loop via Ruwoldtweg, Eichenlohweg, and Gründgensstraße, passing commercial zones, single-family housing areas, and the construction site of the future Steilshoop underground station on the U5 line.

City life, waterways, and history – each line shows a different side of Hamburg.

Route 6 begins at the quiet Borgweg, right next to the city park. It leads through elegant Winterhude to Hamburg Central Station. From Speersort, the route continues into the Speicherstadt, ending near Miniatur Wunderland, before taking an alternative route for the return journey.

Route 17, by contrast, highlights Hamburg’s urban character: from the Barmbek transport hub through Winterhude to the lively district of St. Pauli, passing the Reeperbahn and Millerntor Stadium.
Its destination is Feldstraße underground station, located directly next to the striking former bunker with its green roof.

Route 7 is particularly diverse. In the south, it runs through the bustling Fuhlsbüttler Straße, followed by typical residential neighborhoods. Further north, the scenery changes to commercial areas before reaching Steilshoop, where high-rise buildings dominate the skyline, yet even here, greenery is ever-present.

Route 277 relieves Route 7 and operates clockwise as a loop via Ruwoldtweg, Eichenlohweg, and Gründgensstraße. Along the way, it passes newly developed commercial areas, single-family housing estates, and the large construction site of the future Steilshoop underground station on the U5 line.

And the best part: further route extensions are already planned and will gradually expand the add-on. Next up, Route 17 will be extended towards Berne underground station via Bramfeld village square, and the Tessenowweg bus depot will be added.

Hamburg’s skyline – closer than ever.

More than 250 highly detailed 3D assets were created specifically for this add-on: historic warehouses, modern office buildings, bridges, train stations. Even from a distance, you’ll clearly recognise iconic landmarks such as the TV tower, the Spiegel building, and the Elbphilharmonie.

An add-on that breathes Hamburg.

In addition to the newly built assets, around 400 more structures from The Bus’s extended building toolset were added. all customised with authentic Hamburg details. Facades, windows, doors, everything feels familiar.

Special moments await everywhere: underground trains cross your path, commuter trains pass through Barmbek, long-distance trains speed through the central station, and traditional harbour boats invite you on a trip along the waterways.

And along the roadside? Red rubbish bins with North German humour and the iconic Uhlenhorst bike sheds.

Bridges, stops, Hamburg precision.

More than 40 bridges connect the routes, each with its own distinctive design.

Every stop is individually designed, precisely following real-world references, complete with authentic shelters, poles, ticket machines, and digital passenger information displays (DFIs).

For experts. For explorers. For everyone who loves Hamburg.

Those familiar with the real bus routes will feel right at home in their virtual counterparts.

And anyone discovering Hamburg for the first time will quickly understand why this city captures so many hearts.
