About This Content

Hamburg is calling and The Bus is ready to go!

With the Hamburg City dlc, you can experience the Hanseatic city from the perspective of a bus driver.

Three varied routes take you through green residential districts, industrial areas, high-rise housing estates, vibrant inner-city locations, and past world-famous landmarks, right into the heart of one of Germany’s most beautiful cities.

Three routes, three personalities — one authentic Hamburg experience.

Line 6 takes you from the green Borgweg underground station straight through the city centre and into the impressive Speicherstadt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site full of historic charm.

Line 17 begins at the lively Feldstraße station, passes through Winterhude, and ends at Barmbek station. For part of its journey, it runs parallel to Line 6, two paths that cross, yet each tells its own story.

Line 7 offers a different perspective. It starts at Barmbek station and leads into the relatively young district of Steilshoop.

City life, waterways, and history – each line shows a different side of Hamburg.

Line 6 starts quietly at Borgweg station near the city park, winds through elegant Winterhude and continues to Hamburg’s main train station. From Speersort, it moves into the Speicherstadt, ending near the famous Miniatur Wunderland, and takes a slightly different route on the way back.

In contrast, Line 17 explores the city’s urban face. It begins at the transit hub in Barmbek, runs through Winterhude, and heads into the vibrant St. Pauli district, past the Reeperbahn and Millerntor Stadium, before ending at Feldstraße station next to the striking high-rise bunker with its green rooftop.

Line 7 is particularly rich in contrasts. Starting along the bustling Fuhlsbüttler Straße in the south, it soon moves through typical residential areas. Further north, the route continues through industrial zones before finally reaching Steilshoop, an area characterised by tower blocks, yet still notably green.

And the best part: further route expansions are already planned and will gradually extend the network. Up next is Line 277, which will broaden the northern part of the system.

Hamburg’s skyline – closer than ever.

More than 250 highly detailed 3D assets were created specifically for this add-on: historic warehouses, modern office buildings, bridges, train stations. Even from a distance, you’ll clearly recognise iconic landmarks such as the TV tower, the Spiegel building, and the Elbphilharmonie.

An add-on that breathes Hamburg.

In addition to the newly built assets, around 400 more structures from The Bus’s extended building toolset were added. all customised with authentic Hamburg details. Facades, windows, doors, everything feels familiar.

Special moments await everywhere: underground trains cross your path, commuter trains pass through Barmbek, long-distance trains speed through the central station, and traditional harbour boats invite you on a trip along the waterways.

And along the roadside? Red rubbish bins with North German humour and the iconic Uhlenhorst bike sheds.

Bridges, stops, Hamburg precision.

More than 40 bridges connect the routes — each one an unmistakable structure.

Every stop is individually designed, precisely following real-world references, complete with authentic shelters, poles, ticket machines, and digital passenger information displays (DFIs).

For experts. For explorers. For everyone who loves Hamburg.

Anyone familiar with Lines 6, 17 or 7 will immediately recognise their virtual counterparts.

And those discovering Hamburg for the first time will quickly understand why this city captures so many hearts.
