Galactic Space Guard is a turn-based tactics game where you take control of a squad of elite soldiers to defend humanity's space stations and ships against an alien threat.

Complete missions to repel the invasion and loot new equipment and resources.

With the materials you collect, you can upgrade your soldiers, expand your squad, and enhance your own ship.

Environments are dangerous and enemies are plenty, be careful not to get overrun. Soldiers and gear lost in action are gone for good but from the wreckage, you can rebuild and rise again.

Turn based combat with immersive Shooting

Galactic Space Guard features real-time aiming and shooting that is comparable to a third person shooter game. Aim freely and shoot, one trigger pull will be one shot or a salvo (or holding down for full-Auto, if your equipped weapon allows it).

The shots are not based on percent values for hit calculation like in similar games. Instead each shot is calculated separatly, e. g. incorporating recoil, the soldiers aim ability and of course your hand, therefore shooting feels unique. The enemies will die quickly when fired at, so the focus in fighting is to deal with many enemies rather than a few strong enemies. Of course with exceptions, there are boss enemies that will require the attention of the full squad.

Turn based and pure Action

The movement of the enemies is executed in parallel. So once your turn is finished all enemy characters will move and attack at the same time, resulting in short enemy turns. So you don’t have to wait too long until it’s your turn again.

That also means you have to pay good attention to the enemies movement and plan your turns well. Otherwise you could be overwhelmed. The enemies are not just moving towards your soldiers they use different attack patterns and prioritisations, depending on the enemy type.

Extract from procedural generated maps

Galactic Space Guard has procedural generated dungeon-like levels that deliver varying content. Items will be found on the map and can directly be equipped and taken back to your space ship.

At the Ship you are able to manage the squad and use your found items for the next mission. The looted items can be stored in the stash at the HQ to save them for later.

Soldiers can die permanently and if you do not recover the bodies and / or the equipment of them, all of it gets lost. In the worst case it is possible to lose the entire squad and its equipment. But there’s always the opportunity to hire new soldiers and rebuilt your squad.

Survival & Squad management

Food supply has to be taken care of. Medical supplies have to be managed for regenerating health and curing injuries, equipment and ammunition has to be maintained. Give your soldiers new abilities through experience and equip them accordingly to their next mission.

Defend Humanity

Fight the aliens back, destroy their breeding grounds and rescue civilians. Defeat the raging aliens and guard the remains of humanity!

We are using AI for the localization of Galactic Space Guard. It is also used for translating texts in the community section. So it is merely used for translation, the texts are still handwritten and translated in languages we are not capable of speaking. This is the only application of AI in Galactic Space Guard.
