About This Demo

Story

Tokyo, Japan, 2021.

Newly employed psychotherapist Honda Gaku joins the adolescent research project “U.Z.U.” at MCNP, an institute specializing in psychological and neurological research, marking the beginning of his career as a therapist.

From midsummer to late autumn, Honda must simultaneously navigate the lives of three young girls and the complex relationships they are entangled in. Even among other patients, these three stand out—

  • A runaway girl besieged by a hereditary disease and an impossible love,

  • The daughter of a kyudo master, lost in paranoia and hallucinations,

  • A cold and elusive foreign girl whose whereabouts are never certain.

Despite years of education and training, Honda must exhaust every resource to guide them back toward society; should he falter even slightly in his daily work, they might slip away into an unknown fate…

However, beyond simply maintaining good relationships with these young girls, Honda will have to face some real challenges. Otherwise, wouldn’t all of this be just a little too dull? "Right? Honda sen?"

Characters

Honda Gaku

  • 30 years old, psychotherapist, licensed physician.

  • Born into a family of doctors, he resolutely chose the path of medicine from a young age.

  • After completing further studies in Germany, he returned to Japan and began working at MCNP, where he was assigned to conduct psychological diagnoses and counseling for the subjects of the “U.Z.U.” project.

Yuri

  • 18 years old, currently living with Asako.

  • Since childhood, Yuri has suffered from severe sensory disorders caused by a hereditary disease.

  • When the pandemic swept through, she had finally had enough of her past life and escaped from her parents’ cold and oppressive control.

Bravely—perhaps recklessly—Yuri ran away from home, and as luck would have it, she met Asako during her time on the streets. With Asako’s help, she secured food and shelter and even got the chance to work alongside her. They now spend nearly every moment together.

Yes, all of Yuri’s good fortune is thanks to Asako. But can happiness that depends entirely on one person truly last forever?

Tsumugi Takano

  • 19 years old, recently competed in the national tournament as the captain of her university’s kyudo team.

  • Born into a prestigious local family, Tsumugi’s father, Sho Takano, long abandoned martial arts for a political career. Yet, she continues to pursue his shadow on the path of kyudo.

Through the connections of their previous generation, Honda and Sho Takano have known each other since childhood, making their relationship something akin to childhood friends. And now, after many years apart, Honda and Tsumugi’s reunion carries a subtle yet undeniable tension…

Could it be that Tsumugi had secretly harbored feelings for Honda all along?

Natasha

  • 18 years old… or perhaps, older?

  • When Honda first received her file, he almost thought that Natasha’s convoluted past was some sort of crude joke.

After all, the only things confirming that Natasha is indeed Natasha are:

  • A meticulously detailed file,

  • The testimony of Natasha’s non-blood-related sister,

  • And Natasha herself.

…Wait, isn’t that enough? Could Natasha possibly be someone else?

Shh… Let’s just leave it at this:

“If we’re talking about worldly bonds, isn’t it easy enough to explain everything that way?
But, Dr. Honda, let me ask you—
Have you truly, with your own eyes, seen this person called Natasha in this world?
And, can you say with certainty that you and I have truly met before?”
