About This Game

"Why not choose to give up and become our lover?"

That day in 2022, I came home from that school

They called it an internet-addiction "rehab" camp.

Drills. Instructors. Shock therapy. The isolation cell. My parents said it was all for my own good.

I made it home. Something from that place came home with me.

The streets of Old Town look the same as ever. But my Sanity keeps slipping, blood is seeping through the walls, and doors that were never there keep opening, one after another.

And there's a girl called Haru. She's always smiling, always teasing me. Sometimes she looks right past me... at you.

Three worlds. One story nobody finished.

First-person psychological horror

Your Sanity drains over time, and when it runs low, the map itself starts to change. Ration a dying flashlight, dig through your inventory, read what was left behind, crack combination locks and old terminals. If you hear laughter, the Woman in Red is already close.

The Land of Flesh: a 2D otherworld

One drop of Crow's-Eye Tincture and the 3D world freezes. You wake in a side-scrolling otherworld as Haru, her eyes hidden behind a mosaic. Doors you open there open in reality too. Lose your Sanity there, and you collapse here.

The Second World: a gothic Castlevania

On your second playthrough, Haru breaks in as the Intruder: a GBA-style pixel Metroidvania with nine weapons, armor, accessories, air dash, grapple and high jump. Kill a 2D boss and its 3D counterpart is gone for good. Find both tallies, and the whole world turns upside down.

Every ending is a different game

A dreamcore suburb, a visual novel, the Backrooms, a heart that won't stop beating... Each ending changes how you play and how it looks, and tells the same wound from another angle. One of them might even recognize you.

Fill the Codex

43 characters, monsters and bosses across Reality, the Prologue, the Land of Flesh, the Second World and the Ending Worlds. Nothing is recorded until you've seen it with your own eyes, or landed a hit. Every portrait switches between 3D and 2D.

Reality · Otherworld · Second World

Reality: Old Town

Leave home, then cross the street, the apartment block and the pitch-black sewer, all the way to the school.

The other side: the Land of Flesh and the Second World

A dungeon of living flesh that breathes around you. And your own home, rewritten by Haru into a gothic castle.

They're waiting for you

The Woman in Red. The Zombie Instructor. The White Ghost. Professor Yang. And one more, at the very bottom of the upside-down world.

7 endings. One of them is hiding.

  • False Ending · Eternal Suburbia: The girl she once was became something forever beautiful... or an endless dark.

  • Truth Ending: Through the computer and into another world. But is this reality? Or a game?

  • Backrooms Ending: We stepped outside the world, and even out there, we met her.

  • Distress Signal: Someone is calling for help through the static.

  • Perfect Ending: Not quite perfect... it was only a game.

  • Heart Ending: The school has a heartbeat.

  • ???: ???
