Lo que dicen los desarrolladores:

¿Por qué Acceso anticipado?

“We are doing early access because this is a game best defined and developed with help from players actually playing the game, which means the sooner we get people trying and playing the game the better this game will actually be, this is a process that will continue throughout the games development.”

¿Cuánto tiempo va a estar este juego en Acceso anticipado aproximadamente?

“The game will be in early access betwee 3-6 months, depending on what kind of feedback we get from the community.”

¿Qué tan diferente será la versión completa de la versión de Acceso anticipado?

“For the full version of Armada we imagine for the game to feature more cards and more planets, exactly what these cards and planets look like depends on the feedback and trends that help shape the game during early access.

The goal is also to have the game feature complete with working AI opponents, a robust multiplayer experience with matchmaking both ranked and unranked, and we would like to polish the games visuals and audio further.”

¿Cuál es el estado actual de la versión de Acceso anticipado?

“The game currently features 1v1 card combat against an opponent online or on the same device with a hoteseat feature.

The game features 64 cards distributed across 12 planets, and the game lets you setup games with random planets and cards, or defined which ones you want to play with.

The core gameplay functionality works and you can play matches against friends or strangers by inviting them to your lobby or by inviting friends currently playing the game.

The game lacks and detailed visuals like card art, vfx and menu design, but everything is functional and playable.

The game also features no audio, no music no sfx right now.

The game does not feature any matchmaking features, ranked play or leaderboards.”

¿El precio del juego será diferente durante y después del Acceso anticipado?

“The game will be free-to-play during the early access, and on release players will have to buy the game.”

¿Cómo tienes planeado involucrar a la comunidad en tu proceso de desarrollo?

“The community will provide essential feedback on their gameplay experiences, we hope to do polls, events and Q&A sessions to meet the community and the people playing head on!

We aim to develop a strong community through our dedicated discord server, this is where we would like for people to connect, share and provide feedback about the game as it evolves.

We will also try to be active on YouTube and our social media platforms to keep the community updated.”

Acerca de este juego

A New Take on Deck-Building: Dynamic Strategy in Every Match

Black Horizon: Armada is a digital deck-building card game set in an original sci-fi universe where you build the strongest armada by battling across three randomly chosen planets. What sets Armada apart from traditional deck-building games is that you build your deck during the battle, forcing you to adapt your strategy on the fly. Every match is a fresh experience, as no two games play out the same way.

Tactical Gameplay Across Three Systems

The battlefield in Armada is divided into three systems, acting as strategic lanes where you must carefully place your cards. Ships and stations defend your systems and allow you to acquire new cards, while also positioning you to attack the opponent. Success hinges on smart maneuvering—knowing when to attack, defend, or shift your forces. Ships can warp between systems, enabling you to rebalance the board and change strategies mid-game. Victory is achieved by reducing your opponent’s life points to zero, which requires breaking through enemy defenses and attacking directly.

Unique Card Dynamics and Strategic Depth

Armada features three main types of cards: Ships, Stations, and Actions. Ships are your main tools for attacking, defending, and acquiring cards. Stations provide strategic advantages but are stationary, requiring careful placement. Action cards deliver temporary boosts or special abilities that can shift the tide of battle. Resources gained from cards are used to purchase new cards or activate powerful abilities. When cards are spent or destroyed, they go to the shipyard, eventually returning to the player’s deck, creating a dynamic rotation and engine-building experience.

Planets that Change the Game

Every game starts with three randomly chosen planets, each with a unique ability and set of cards that drastically shape gameplay. Planets introduce powerful synergies that can be the key to victory. For example, Moira grants additional resources when ships warp into its system, enabling economic strategies, while Garreth damages smaller ships but rewards those who can navigate its hazardous environment. Mastering these synergies is crucial, as each planet’s effect can dramatically alter your tactical approach.

High Replay Value and No Pre-Game Deck Building

Armada stands out by eliminating pre-game deck building. Instead, decks are constructed dynamically during battles, ensuring no two matches are ever the same. This approach emphasizes strategic adaptation and quick thinking, rewarding players who can best utilize the cards and systems at their disposal. This constant evolution keeps gameplay fresh and engaging.

Multiple Game Modes and Competitive Play

Armada caters to both competitive and casual players. Ranked Matches allow players to climb leaderboards in a competitive environment, while Custom Games offer a more relaxed way to explore strategies. Local Multiplayer supports play on a single device, ideal for friendly matches and shared experiences. The game’s design encourages both quick skirmishes and deep strategic battles.
