Why Early Access?

“Beyond the Grove is near-complete in many respects: core gameplay is ready, tons of playable units are available, and there is enough variety to keep going "just one more run". The game also features scaling challenges for those who wish to really master the game. However, there is still much we want to do before we think it's complete. For one, we want to add more world building, improved meta-progression, and increase map variety.

Early Access gives us room to improve. We want input from the community to improve the game. Whether it’s unit refinements, characters, or making sure every part of the game feels alive, your voice matters.

Players can help us shape balance, decide on new gameplay elements, and guide the future development. We really want 1.0 to have a lot of community influence.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to go into 1.0 in less than 6 months, but it might go longer depending on player feedback. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Continuation of the story, as well as more golems, more bosses, more maps, more blessings, and more skills! We will also likely make improvements to the UI and enemy AI.”

“The game is nearly complete. Players can play and win runs. They can experience much of the story, maps, golems, and blessings. It has a complete tutorial and tons of features for replay-ability. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Yes! We have areas to give feedback all over the game, and we'll be constantly checking all social networks that we're in. We'll also, if the player allows it, we plan on collecting anonymous play data to improve balance and add more fun.”
