Miksi Early Access?

Black Bristol is a strategically competitive game, so releasing into Early Access will allow the community to provide feedback on what parts of the game are fair and balanced. This will be pivotal in making Black Bristol the best version it can be.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

It is anticipated that Black Bristol will be in Early Access for up to a year before full release.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

The full release is planned to have additional gameplay mechanics, such as Dimensions and Bidding, to provide variety and challenge to expert players. Also, player feedback and metrics to be used to refine and balance cards.

Ideally, a matchmaking system would be in place to allow players to find others of similar skill.

Graphics, card art, animations and sounds are planned to be overhauled to remove all AI generated art with hand-crafted assets.

It is planned to improve on the overall game polish with a unique artistic styling.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current version of Black Bristol has the core game available to play, with 30+ spell cards and a Steam lobby system. Animations, music and sound, and graphics are placeholders for bespoke assets.

The game is planned to remain free to play, with no pay-to-win elements, ever.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

Community feedback will be vital to developing the best version of Black Bristol, something we are passionate about.

There will be an official Discord channel, feedback form, and website that the community can communicate with the developer.

Dynamic Casting System: Spells resolve by priority, not order played—meaning timing, bluffing, and anticipating your opponents is key.

AI was used to generate card art for development. It is planned to replace the generated art with commissioned, human developed artwork.
