What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Some graphic content has not been created yet, and additional content such as questions and answers will be added gradually. There are also considerations and plans to add a soundtrack to the entire game. Since we cannot guarantee perfect quality (we do not have a QA department), we wanted to release the game as transparently as possible. In short: The game is unfinished, may contain bugs, but we want to improve it over time, without being able to guarantee when these updates will be released.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Depending on how much time we have or what ideas we come up with, as we are still in retraining ourselves. It will probably remain in Early Access until at least AP2 (November 2025).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“It includes more content, questions, features - the full package. :) We are implementing what we can think of or what interests us. Whether the things will actually come and be published also depends on whether we can implement them satisfactorily. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee anything.

What is still firmly planned:

- Exam questions for AP2.

What we are still planning and implementing, if we can manage it:

- Steam features (achievements, cloud save, etc.)
- Full controller support (currently works only halfway...)
- Steam Deck support (it already runs on my (Patrick's) Steam Deck,...)
- Visual revision, or alternative designs (light/dark, etc.)
- Other types of questions (calculations, etc.)
- More gamification, such as a rogue-like mode”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“See the current feature list below in the game description.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game is and will remain completely free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Just write to us, we will then consider what we can implement and what not. Please remember, there are two of us, we do it all on the side in our spare time. We are happy to receive suggestions and advice, but we kindly ask that you use the Steam Community Forums for any feedback or suggestions. This allows us to keep track of all requests and ensures that all community members have access to the discussion. We cannot guarantee that we will have the time to deal with individual emails or messages outside of the Steam Forums”

About This Game

The IT Specialist Training Program for Trainees and Career Changers ;)

This program was developed by the two of us (Jakub and Patrick) during our own career change training. It is designed to help others pass the AP1 exam.

The current question catalog in the game focuses on the topics relevant to the first exam. This means that other professions (such as IT system electronics technicians) can also use this trainer.

Since we are developing this privately as a two-person team, please be considerate of the program's quality. At the moment, it does not include sound effects or elaborate graphics. Bugs may occur, but in general, the game should run without issues.

Features:

  • Random questions from the entire question catalog

  • Questions focused on specific topics (e.g., hardware, project management, etc.)

  • Time limit and points system

  • (Theoretically) playable on Steam Deck

  • Controller support (tested: Xbox controller) should work

For additional planned features, please refer to the Early Access section. Depending on our available time, we will update the program from time to time.

Note: The program is only available in German.
